In WotLK you can get a wasp from Sholazar Basin. Unfortunately, you can't get that particular rainbow colored wasp you see in this video anymore, they made it untamable in a patch some while ago.

gorillas are good for tanking more than one mob and turtles are good for tanking elites

i soo like the wasp as a pet finally hunter can have a pet that does not shrink and the poison move is awesome lowering the armor is the bomb, since im all about dmg i would hate to have a turtle, but ferocity pets don't really need good armor because of bloodthirsty which your pet attacks have a 20% to heal them selves and gain happiness on rnak 1 if your on rank one i think its a 10% chance, the best pets to me are cats an wasp, they are awesome!

I'm not entirely sure what you're asking but in WotLK any pet that is tamed will be made within 5 levels of the hunter. So you can tame a level 5 cat at level 70 and it will become a level 65 cat. Also, pet skills are now allotted through new pet talent trees, so no more loyalty your pet will have all of its unique skills already instead of you having to find the right mobs. Pretty sweet if you ask me.

I know this is somewhat unrelated, but it has to do with hunter pets and since BRK seems to know a hella lot about em, i wanna ask. I once made a draenei hunter, and once i reached 10 i was able to start quest for pet (woooo). im not sure exactly which part it was, but i had to tame a certain crab. when i did tame the crab, i noticed that he buffed me! a buff similar to the thorns of a druid. when i attempted to capture that crab after i finished the quest, he had nothing. was it just something

that was allowed cuz of the quest, did i do something wrong that didnt allow me to get the buff, OR i somehow got the buff from elsewhere(meaning a druid actually gave me the buff at the same time i finished taming the crab, even though i was the only one in sight?.... i didnt want to have to remake a hunter ( i couldve abandoned quest but i was too excited about getting a pet) but ive never stopped wondering. and when i looked up pet talents/moves it didnt show this under the crabs list.

The training quest doesn't literally let you train the pet, it's more of a mind control. Therefore, it gives you the spells and abilities the creature has rather than the pet class. The crabs have a low level Thorns (if you go back, I'm sure you'll see the the Thorns buff on the crab), the boars for the Orc/Troll quest have Charge, which you can see when fighting them at low levels, and is different from the current Boar Charge.

Yeah that's the only pet that gives you a buff like that. Other ones give you buffs like wolf howl. Only crabs can learn that particular one. If you train a crab and kill a few things with it you train the spell to your spellbook. You can later use it on other crabs you want to tame that don't have the spell already.

hehe this rocks :D im as a happy as when they improved the pet Ai pre tbc. and seing that you do so much dmg with BM spec per shot i just cant wait to see a MM hunter or Survival hunter :D im definately looking forward to your movies and more of insane pets ^^
