I'm born in 1988, and you can say whatever you want to me, but I would gladly give up todays internet, I-whatevers, smartphones, apps, etc. to go back to the 80s/ 90s. Seriously, other than some technology, I really cant think of many good things that have come out of the 2000s
Born in 1966 myself. Things started to go into the crapper in 2008 for me although I did have a few rough spots in 2003/04. I didn't care for the 1990's too much but at least there were some good cartoons ("The Tick") and the video games mentioned not to mention at least I was better off then, The 1980's were my favorite.
@johnson9dantheman I remember most of the 90s it was cool back when all the kids used to play out side. and nobody had cell phones or ipods the only thing we had were cd players lol... I remember my parents had beepers. the cartoons were good everyone watched the simpsons. the early 00s were also good for me we had shows like Lizzie Mcguire that's so raven and them good Disney Movies and can't forget toonami with dragonball z =]

The 2000s just seemed like the worst because it was a great drop from the boom and celebration from the 90s (at least in the West). It did have crap like 9/11 and Katrina, but it was just a below-average decade, not the worst.
Personally for me, 2005 was a [BLEEP!!] Worst time of my [BLEEPED]-up life! 2008 was a saving grace, however. I'd do anything to live February and March 2008 again cuz that was my BEST [BLEEPING] time ever! Too bad 2009 had to undo all that. For me, 2009 was also [BLEEPING][BLEEP!!]

9/11,Tsunami,Hurricane Katrina,7/7 etc! 2007-wettest summer ever,George Harrison & Michael Jackson died,worked in crap jobs constantly,treated like crap by every bloke,-still single, had bad teeth all through my 20's(Got them fixed 2010), was drunk all the time,kidney infection,knee infection,eye infection,constant chesty cough,signed off with stress twice,my Dad was ill 2005,died 2006,etc,etc,etc!!!!!!! My God,what a crap decade!!! 2010 was pretty crap too,bring back the 80's and 90's!! :-0 :-)

The 2000's were good ONLY because of Wii, Facebook, Youtube and better looking cars, phones BUT that's about it

@johnson9dantheman I was young at the start. The 2000 school year went fine, the next one sucked. When 9/11 happened, there was shock and a sense of inferiority. The revelation that Bush was villainous got me involved in politics.
I was younger, but the 1990s had none of these problems. I understand there was a recession in the early 1990s, But luckily Clinton was elected and restored things. Here's hoping Obama will do the same.

Although the 2000s were no where near as good as the 90s 80s 70s 60s and 50s, I do think they were better than the 40s with WW2, the 30s with the depression, the 1910s with WW1 and basically all the many many decades before that (1890s, 1780s, 1590s etc etc etc for a long time)

@IantheLiberal im a 96er so i remember a little bit from the 90s but mostly from the 2000 to 2004 and i loved it, someday we willl be talking to our kids and talkin about mighty beans and kidz bop and all of the fads and game systoms like gamboy advanced and gamboy advanced sp or the gamecube and all of that so you may think it sucks now but you will miss it

Well, I wanna wish you a happy new decade too! The '00s had been a bad decade! I'm glad 2009 is almost over! That year has been an unhappy year for me! :( Even though, 2007 and 2008 were happy years for me! :) I hope to have a happy life in the 2010s!
