its not about who the inventor of the shot is. Allan Border use to cut for six like that too (with a wide loss of control in his arms) but the debate is about who has made the shot more popular and has perfected it. In more ways than one, Dhoni has done that because of the sheer amount of power that he has. We find most, if not all, of his helicopter shots go for six or four. He would never use a helicopter shot to get a single like Sachin.
