Ah I love this band!  Calvin Johnson is my hero! I remeber talking to another group from this era who toured with Beat Happening in the mid 80's. They are called Girl Trouble. Another awesome group!

Anyway Calvin Johnson was the one who started K Records. Great label check it out! Bikini Kill, Beck's early stuff, and Modest Mouse were on the label in the 90's.

The artist is Beat Happening and the album is Jamboree. Its not really that confusing considering this is Cobains top 50 Albums not top 50 songs.

Beat Happening is really great, this song remember sex (the vocals,guitars and drums),remember military march too. Like the song of Joy Division "Love Will tear us apart" :)

I can't say I'm in love with this, but I have great respect for these guys. Beat Happening was almost the best chapter in Our Band Could Be Your Life.
