  • Kids do NOT try this at home.......try it at a friends house

  • it almost looked as if the jeep would not fit to back out of the garage if he put those tires on wile it was still in there!

  • How the gas mixuture affect the tire performance with half fume and half air?

  • awesome!

  • Interesting, saw this on some Antarctic exploration show. Good info at least mentioning that there would still be some flammable fluid inside the tire. Better on big tires compared to smaller ones. Gotta balance them, but on big tires, who really needs balancing? So much material you'd need some huge weights to even make a difference.

  • @88pimpin Top Gear

  • get bigger tires or lower that zj some ...lol

  • that's one tiny shop

  • i would love to see some vids of that jeep playin' ;)

  • so if the tires depth is 14 and your rim depth is 16 will this still work and keep its bead??

  • i have those same tires

  • you can achieve the same thing with a 4x4 or 2 and an air compressor.

  • a small but effective explosion! lol

  • at least he used the 'proper' amount not like some other morons on here

  • holy but fuck that tires huge

  • Be very careful. I have seen tires explode using this method... All in all, if you are careful you should be ok... if the first or second attempt fails, and you have burned all the O2 out of the tire - you must add more O2 simply by useing the air hose for a few seconds, then try again... Just use as little fuel as possible for safety. (other fuels i have used are; Off-insect repelant, gasoline, hair spray... And the like) BE SAFE ! ! !

  • hahah this is actuelly small i mount way bigger tires like 710/70r38 for tractors and i m using big blaster to pop the bead this wouldnt work on those tires

  • does this actually work? i mean does this do anything to the tire or is it fine

  • 3:05, nazi xd

  • you're really impressing your lady friend there stud man

  • LMAO notice he didnt have gloves on the tire. but watch when he does the second tire... gloves magically appear haha

  • you don't leave the flam gas, let air out a few times and refill so not to worry. i saw one blow off the rim on the trail, must have sparked on the rocks.

end of story the tire was no good!

  • i have them on my 78 gmc stepside they suck in the wet snow but ok in mud

  • at least he is wearing glasses yeah asshole much cheaper than a tire shop good thing your kid didnt walk up to it

  • Damn them are some big tires. Plan on doing this on some 35" rubber and balance with beads in the spring when I get some money. Beats paying $20 a tire. Good video man.

  • Mickey Thompson Baja Belted, 39.5x18x16.5. They have been discontinued within the last year or two.

  • SWEET tires what brand/ model are they????

  • sweet number plates ;)

  • Cutest family haha.

  • oww shit...!!!!! hahaha lol

  • Imagine lungs

  • "Its like fix a flat in a can" FIx a flat is in a can.

  • @zmooney2011 my thoughts exactly

  • i didnt watch the video moron

  • what r u puttin them tires on

  • @marker538 it has a pic at the end of the video moron

  • i only do this as a last resort to getting a tire to bead up. i can usually get them to spread enough using a 2" ratchet strap around the outside of the tire. the key is NOT spraying too much inside the tire. tall radial tires are the easiest to bead up, a bias belted tire with stiffer sidewalls can be a bitch sometimes....

  • awesome! i want be just like you. (but i like Chevy) nice jeep tho=^.^= I'm 18 and i use to fight with tires trying to set the beads. me or mom mom couldn't afford to go to a shop to mount tires cuz their like 24 bucks a tire. (may i mention i was 15 at the time) i wish i new how to do this back then. in ome cases i took my tires to the high school auto shop. thx. anymore tricks i should know?

  • love squeaky new tires

  • so how do you do this you spray gas or somthing flamable into tire then light it then fill up with air or let air out then fill up ?

  • "fix-a-flat in a can" Fix-a-flat does come in a can. lmao! Good demo tho!

  • @jeepfreak0iii0 fix a flat sucks for tyre fitters u ever smelt that stuff after its bee in a tyre it takes the breath away from you

  • i got an idea ...get some rims the tires fit on....

  • what brand tires

  • thats some sick heels and tires what brand wheels??

  • that's amazing!

  • NO OFFENSE but way b4 i saw the kids or the pic of your wife. I knew she was a blonde. 1:42 so gave it away lol "whoa! that was a flame"

  • what kind/size of lift is that??

  • Comment removed

  • That's by far one of the coolest things i've ever seen.

  • ive had to do tht on truck tires a few times when the cheetah wasnt on the truck harbor freight sells them they are alot safer that is the last thing you want to use i have seen tires explode and burn because of that next time buy some hard tire soap and pack it around the bead while airing it it might be messier but its safer and your not supposed to leave the valve core in it

  • big tires, big fun XD

  • someone who knows it don"t take half a can to mount

  • i wanna see you jeep you should get some vids of it in action

  • lol you got some wild comments on this one lol pplz are stupid, this is fine long as you dont spray the whole can in one tire thats how you end up with the incident of tire flying into space lol.

  • I work on tires full time 40 hours a week or more. i see all tire sizes from huge OTR tires that have 63 inch rims to tires that mount on a 14 inch rim. Seriously if you wanna die from a tire fire inside that mounted tire that you'll have no clue thats even burning until that tire explodes and leaves you in pieces. then do what this dumbass just did. if not take it to a pro that knows what they're doing.

  • @dj2004z Fires require oxygen, these explosions burn all the oxygen inside the tire in a fraction of a second and since it's sealed, the fire goes out.

  • what the hell did u use to do that

  • @DGoCod Starter fluid and a lighter and watch the magic happen!

  • Just a wee lift on your trail rig eh? Enough to get over the curb =p.

  • ohya buddy, your friggin smart! keep it up and you will end up against the wall and make my job more safety restricted oh ya, my way is faster and safer!

  • ooo Why you need huge tires ...

My tire exploded today brand new tire destoyed with Starting fluid ,

STarting fluid use more than you should and tire will explode ,

My first time using Starting fluid , used more than I should ,,

  • Is it in Utah?

  • Oh ok thanks guys

  • the exposion only sets the bead then you gotta fill it with air.

  • Y do u have to fill it up with air after?

  • y not ?

  • @redneckboy546 the flame just gets the rim on the tire properly but it still needs pressure

  • @redneckboy546 Explosive gases expand because they heat up. When they cool, they shrink and if you don't fill it with something else will suck the tire back off the rim.

  • He's so getting some tonight :-P

  • @mryellow123 but then that chick sounds fat

  • @mryellow123 Profit :)

  • @mryellow123 he already got sum..

  • @plzforgiveme987 ...twice!

  • LOL the tire was as tall as the kid...Git er done!

  • OIIIIIIO

  • Is that an XJ bumper on a ZJ?

  • Nice jeep

  • Still waiting on a tech write-up for this rig man... post the url!

  • The chick was like "oh shit!"

    classic!

  • nice rims

  • Well, all I know is, he's not going mudding with those tires.

  • sound like they are from California not Alabama...i think they'll be fine with the tires they have.

  • snowing or sanding?

  • @roxxas5 That being said, what a kickass tread pattern :P.

  • it's a lot easier to lay the tire down while doing it, also I always spray a trail so I don't have to stich the tourch inside the tire

  • Pro tip: keep the valve stem core out and someone ready with an air hose. This is so you can burn all of the gas inside the tire and not endanger yourself or others driving down the road. Also when you keep the core out, the rapid cooling of the air inside the tire will cause it to contract and it could pull the tire back off of the bead, this is what the at-the-ready air hose is for. other than that...nice video. But I must ask...why so tall on the ZJ?

  • awesome truck

  • An advice to all who watch this video....DO NOT PUT YOUR HAND BETWEEN THE TIRE AND RIM WHILE SPRAYING FLAMABLE LIQUID INTO THE TIRE!!!!!....LIKE HE DID!!!!...oK have fun.

  • just remove the valve stem and all the gasses should come out.

  • mickey thompson baja belted hp tires. nice ZJ by the way.

  • Nice jeep

  • Nice blue rims ..whats the name of the blue ..do u know

  • Props for the safety glasses and gloves. If your going to do something might-as-well do it smart. For a tire that big I would want a match or other open flame on a stick, your hand was just too close on the second tire.

  • o.k. you have done it lots of times and so have i and everyone else but this is a dangerous way to do it and getting your face right down next to the beed before it is properly seated is dangerous,as this is when you find out whether it took or not.. not saying it can't be done or that it shouldn't , just that it should not be taken lightly

  • tragedy first if your gonna do this get outside somewhere so that when they blow off in your face you want be sent flying into anything that will hurt you when you land, 2nd wrap a couple of lengths of chain around it to keep the controlled explosion under control..3rd get the kids out of there ,we could just have easily been watching a tragedy happen..unsafe stuff can be done when required just don't be stupid about it..one day these are gonna blow off in your face and that isn't a maybe..

  • i have done it plenty of times it works great

  • Tuff Jeep..

  • there actually mickey thompson baja belted or something like that

  • They look like Mickey thompson's Baja claws

  • baja claws look like tractor tyres

  • wht kinda tires r those?

  • das hat er wohl schon öfters gemacht

  • lol "boom and be a little surprised"

  • sweet i did this 2day on my 40s =]

scared me the 1st time hahah

  • sweet jeep bro OllllO

  • haha why are you telling me not to try this at home i do it all the time on atv and big truck tires

  • Hes just making sure no Idiots do it and blow themselfs up :P

  • can you do this with any tire?

  • Yea

  • any tubeless tire yea as long as its as big as a lawnmower tire

  • wow! kids is cute!

  • this is about tire ..hahahhahha

  • wooow that was a flame!lol

  • Nice wheels man fuckin sweet

  • Um, question... Now how do you ballence it?

  • you dont nob

  • Nob? only a nob doesn't ballance it dickhead. (whats that wobbling dear?)

  • You don't balance it because they are probably going on a trail rig that wont be going over 20 mph

  • @skierfreak21 even if they were worried about it....antifreeze in the wheel

  • Now, how do you get it off lol.

  • deflate and stand on it...

  • well done ....

  • i've done this but i threw matches at the tires. i ain't going to be stupid or drunk enough to stand that close while doing it

  • What kind of tires? and are they loud on the road? and how many miles?

  • DUDE YOUR THE MAN HOMIE, from someone who cant aford bad ass tires like them well or a lift kit.LOL!!!! from temple tx. BETO {KEEP IT LOOKIN BAD ASS}

  • nice.... except your supposed to have the air hose blowing the air in the tire....

  • huh? What page are you on?

  • very nice jeep. and was the a cheaper generic starting fluid or no? i have an old international scout that i lifted and might have to do that wit my 30s.

  • man i love that jeep awsome

  • what does "mall" mean

  • i think he forgot a "s"

  • some people call some of the lifted trucks that never see dirt mall crawlers or mall crusers and those tires dont have a very agressive tread patterian so he ment those tires will never see dirt. hope this helps

  • that is some mall terrain tread if i ever saw it

  • haha

  • I was thinking similar. Like "wtf does that tread specialise in? Certainly not mud."

  • they live in utah, its all sandy rock.. probably by moab or sumthin

  • calm down dude...there just tires and by the way the liners aren't ruined. No need to use immature language unless you don't have a very good vocabulary.

  • @HeroJeep

    What tyres are they ?

  • what brand starting fluid is that

  • you will av to get a stp ladder to get in that lol

  • thats a bad ass family suv lol

  • Shiiiiiiiiiiit Man....

  • thats fukkin cool.. but could the flamible gas inside explode??

    cute baby btw..lol

  • Cool :D

  • I hope the mall you crawl is appropriate size for that thing

  • This is actually pretty safe, people need to stop whining. I know a mechanic that has been doing it this way for 20+ years.

  • Who does HMMWV rim widening? I know lots of shops that do re-centering but widening?

  • oh my goodness that was so damn cute "it's as big as you!"

  • Those look like widened H1 wheels, shame to waste the split rim on not using an insert to lock the beads. Then you wouldn't have to use the butane either.

boy that's a lot of lift for those 40s....

  • MADD

  • dude, where can I see the write up about your rig!??

That's fucking insane! Makes mine look TINY haha!

  • Why dont you get yourself a bead cheater tank before the day comes when it goes wrong.

  • This trick works so good. I was actually just doing this to a set of tires I have. Set of 31's the trick will only work with ether starting fluid. I don't know if I spelt it right but yea.

  • Comment removed

  • that is cool as hell

  • haha dumass fix aflat is always in a can

  • thats seating a tire not mounting a tire. it might be cheaper than a tireshop but a tireshop is cheaper than the medical bills for that one time, that one time, you fuck up and the bead doesnt come out right and you break a wrist. or your little girl walks up behind you and gets hurt. the unburnt either in the tire breaks down the innerliner and causes blisters that leads to tire failure. ya, i want you comin at me in that thing on a two lane road when it goes. cheaper? NOT! not recommended.

  • Do what you need to do.

  • lol? does it still run fine? ive never seen that before!

  • yes it still runs fine.. it only sets the bead

  • im pretty sure fix-a-flat does come in a can????

  • how would "fix a flat" seat a bead?

  • Good call! Kids dont try this at home.

    Tire mounting 101!

    Cute kids.

  • does it hurt the tire at all? with the gas in there and all?

  • nope its all burned off and it dosnt burn long enough to melt anything.

  • bullshit!

  • what about airing tyres with nitrogen...

  • Very cool. This is great for those difficult-to-mount tires such as yours. I have a guy at work who used to mount truck tires in this fashion. Works well, provided you leave the valve stem out (on the little ones) and don't use too much starter fluid...

  • Zero danger? People get killed this way.

Dude, if you're gonna do that, just lay it down, spray a line around the bead and leading out towards the tread. Then light it, that way you're not in its face when sealing it.

I'm a T.I.A. instructor, you know you can get fined up to 9,500$ for doing that? O.s.h.a. rules man.

  • osha rule dont apply for ppl doing there at home project. only comercial busnisses
