Doug is my favourite guitar player ever! He's just insane. I got to meet him last year in X Music and I got a picture nal with him he's awesome! One of the nicest people I have ever met :)
@grisknack Not to be antagonistic. But this is not a smart comment. Randy is dead, he left a mark and a template that a lot of people follow. Among experienced players, Doug is one of the most respected players in the business. The beauty here is that there is room for both Randy and Doug. You can learn from both players. As a matter of fact, I hope you don't take this response offensively, because the ultimate goal is to learn from as many good players as it is possible.
@UncleTito72 - Couldn't have said it any better. They BOTH rock and I put their playing at the top. I wish Randy was still with us and only can imagine the stuff he would have provided. God bless both of them. ROCK ON!
Yea I remember you playing acoustic. I'd go over to see Kelly & Chris & their you'd be. Back when your hair was still long dark & curly. Then later when we ran into each other in Hammond when my sister brought Eddie that song from Tim. I don't suppose you remember me playing my Gibson Jr. Not that I had it long people trashed it. Probably good Chuck(Berry who gave it to me) didn't autograph it.(MJ took me) My immediate family was nutz. They don't even know the 1/2 of what I wrote though.
I want their fckn guitar tone!!!!! somebody can help me?? I hav the HD 300 line 6's pod....and I have a wide range for create sounds with that proccessor...but I dont know the Eq or the sets from this guy....can give me tips??? thx a lot youtubers
Allen Coates/ Broken man , Yotube. Pretty cool, check it out! also Doug Aldrich is one of the all time greats out there! Thanks for that tap pause trick, It makes your playing look more flashy! If you would like to write together sometime, I would be thrilled, allen.coates@mail.com. Thanks!
Yeah...this is a brand new Gibson Goldtop I got resently....yeah sure...I am 40 + and probably will never own a Gibson Goldtop or any other Gibson for that matter. Nobody will give it to me and probably will never have the money to buy one....Poor me...probably didn't understand something important in life.
@Za7a7aZ Dude, if you really want a Gibson and you don't want to spend a lot of dough, what I would do if I were you is get a Gibson Les Paul Jr., remove the stock P90 and get a P90 sized DiMarzio Super Distortion. It won't sound exactly like a LP Standard, but it'll get you close.
Hi guys! Finally I've found the right corner where people not arguing about "who's better". I grew up in 80's, Dough was/is still on my list. @martinmcgilvray, really glad to know you're inspired by Dough...keep practicing!
Dude this guy is the reason i even keep trying when learning how to play gets hard he works harder and harder and his music is amazing! he's my Rhandy Rhoads in a way
this guys my hero , i wanna play like him when im older , im only 13 , saw him in glasgow , done a guitar duel with reb beach kicked fucking ass !!!!!!
@martynmcgilvray01 Don't stop practice and we never know ! It's great to see a teen playing old Hard Rock song ! This is the best music to become a great guitar player ! Long live rock n' roll !!! ;)
@martynmcgilvray01 He was about your age when he started & I remember him playing an acoustic. I used to see him on summer break when we were young as his cousin lived across from my friends. When I grew up he lived across the street from me & his sister lived next door. Anyways he was pretty quiet then he wasn't cranking it so loud we heard it from ours. He heard me crank it once as kids when playing with his uncles to get a feel for something I was writing at the time.
I turn 17 and I can say that keep up with the guitar. Played it for 10 years and I still suck compared to the Whitesnake guitarists. It takes years but after you're done with all the basics, you start to feel like you can actually slaughter Russians with that guitar you have.
@LAYUCHEBI I put this video on You Tube a fiew hours ago but i agree with you man , Doug Aldrich is great ! A true Rock Star and a really a cool guy !

I laughed at the whole marshall bullshit
all his amps have been completely rebuilt by john suhr, martin golub and mark cameron, and they're are nothing like a stock marshall
