Very nice. I use red wine in my stew to give it a delicious flavor and rich color. Hope you'll take a look sometime. Beef stew is a great dish that tastes even better as left overs the next day. Thanks for a great video!
If you want to know a bad ass seasoning to go with beef stew, grinded coffee adds a real difference Just use up your favorite type of coffee seeds and get a coffee grinder, I also like to add it on my steaks as well.
What the hell is going on? This is the second BBQ Pit Boys video I have seen where I had to sit through an ad for oprah winfreys network. I thought this wasn't for "girly men"
@pmharl Cooking is more an art then a science. Ditch the rule book and feel your way through the process. Corn starch is also a good option in place of flour. But add it towards the end of cooking in either case. You could also add a bit of browning sauce to make it look like what you buy in can form in regards to beef stew.
Either way, cook, play, have fun and don't worry about the minutes, it's all done when it's done, and not a moment sooner!
@mikeybaby77 Sorry bud, gas cooking just does not compare to wood! Might as well just use an electric oven in that case, both equal tasteless. The magic is in the smoke, without the smoke, there is only seasoning. Nothing beats cooking with wood/charcoal... But you can still cook anything these guys do, their recopies are very simple as well as the process.
You can do it, but you'll totally be missing what a BBQ pit flavor is all about. Wood smoke is god in the food realm!
@mikeybaby77 It is more difficult . I have decided I'm going to have both Charcoal and gas . The gas grill is ok but unpredictable . Mine flames up a lot and it just drives me crazy . This recipe could work on gas but I'm thinking charcoal would taste much better .
Pit Boys, you guys are really the best in the game. I learned how to cook just by watching you... and of course doing. But i thought I knew how to cook before hand. you know just a little here and there. But Mmmm... Oh and that music, Lol Classic! Man that's GOOD!
this is the only convincing steak soup recipe i've seen in my life! cook books treat t-bone steak soup or porterhouse soup as though it was some kind of a joke.
like to cook this in the fall in MS. Bout 60 degrees outside, spend a lil time outside round lunch cookin, then head in to watch some SEC football. (oh and dont forget a nice pan of mexican style cornbread) woooweee
When I make stew it usually takes more than two hours for the meat (beef) to tenderise. I wonder how that stew is that you guys make. I'm sure its good cuz it looks like you know what your doing.
dude i think i might of seen every episode of u guys, u should have your own show on food network. I live in a nyc apartment i use a grill pan and let me tell you, you guys taught me how to cook. the cook shows on food network now are bs. you guys are awsome.

@DeepDarkAngel999 first of all I dont know if I can trust you since dark angels are satans work and do dark sided things..second of all im bi racial half white half black..trust me I know a thing or two about race relations
@sweet00976: Yes, I'm the devil trying to bring people together in peace. Scary me. OMG, grow the eff up & get over your sanctimonious self.
BEFORE Obama got in office, 1 drop of black blood in the USA meant you were black. If we're gonna start this bi-racial BS, then EVERYONE with brown or black skin is bi-racial in this country unless they immigrated directly from Africa.
You may be 1/2 n 1/2 but I'm nonwhite. Not half-n-half of anything and I STILL say that we can get along if we try.
The bones left over in the stew, after all they have given, is a nice dog treat! I know that stew is rich and tasty esp with that bone marrow melted in stew, good eatting!
get on youtube everyday just to see if there is any new videos up love it..i am attempting to make most if not everything u do but its alot of good eatting
That's the secret to a good stew or soup: using the bones and cartilage. Not only it brings out more flavor, but it helps thicken the sauce/broth. Of couse, try to remove them before eating.
