Uther dies, Merlin goes old (for a while), Lancelot comes back, hooks up with Gwen, Arthur discovers Gwen & Lancelot, Arther becomes king finally, twist in the end which involves err...past chaarcters' cameo and more!!!

My guess is the old apprentice of Gaius... he has black hair and is kinda broad, don't know why he should come out of the water, but as I said just a guess ;)

Well in episode 1x07 you see Arthur with wet hair and it was still lighter than it is shown here. I guess we just have to wait and see ;D
