  • Go Buffs! I know this whole song by heart & will never forget it!

  • 1:16-1:24 Alternate lyrics: "Colorado's Coach's name's Gary Barnett!"

  • HAWAII??????? HA HA HA CU SUCKS

  • @exceisior27 cmon bro really?like I don't know maybe I should've said csu RAM fan huh?

I'll be at the CU UW game in Seattle.

    Go buffs!!

  • One person is a huskers fan.GO BUFFS!!!!

  • @Mrpremiosneakers Where have you been??? CU is now in the new Pac-12 and NU is in the Big 10 (+2)...

(I know you'll say that the dislike is before the July 1 move, but just kidding. :-D )

  • @shooter1690 No it's not the melody was made waaay before used by colorado.

  • @shooter1690 Compared to this it is. Now tell me 10 or more versions of this song is more original than 2 boola boola's and one with changed lyrics man if that's so please tell me you didn't attend college.

  • ok, youtube i've been working on the rail road, then youtube the battle hymn of the republic. you'll find that the latter is where the melody from glory colorado was taken. and you're really not doing a service to your alma mater by being so obtuse in public...

  • I finished my undergrad at Texas Tech after doing a tour at A&M and UT austin. I currently am at CU boulder working on my masters. I have been a few places in my 26 years and I have yet to be at a more welcoming and beautiful place than boulder,co. I am a colorado buff and for those who have not been to boulder it is a place you will never forget. It is absolutely beautiful, set at the foot of the flat irons. the college atmosphere and campus beauty #1 in the nation. never leaving this place!

  • saying glory glory to Colorado doesn't even fit the tune.

It's glory glory to ol Georgia

  • Another I've been working on the railroad song? Gosh first texas ( which is really stupid) now CU What is wrong with making fight songs, atleast Boomer Sooner is original!

  • @Coasternator Nah, the main one starts at 0:56. 'Fight CU' is our official fight song. 'Glory glory' and 'Away we Go' are extra ones--this vid is the sequence in which they are usually played.

  • @hollidaysrain Oh that's better!

  • @Coasternator i've been working on the railroad? do you even know how that song goes? try battle hymn of the republic (glory glory hallelujah...)

  • @deldredge2008 No it's i've been working on the rail road and yes i do are you serious it was sang by railroad builders so yea sorta bad song.

  • @Coasternator and you call boomer sooner original?!? the tune was stolen from Yale University

  • @deldredge2008 Oh so it's cool to still everyone else's and it really wasn't we have different lyrics and yale has a new song so it doesn't matter unlike this...it's stupid

  • even though ur team sucks i love this song

    from a mizzou fan

  • have fun in the pac-10 losers!!! your going to be competing with washington state for last place!

  • DAN HAWKINS MUST STAY!!!!!!

  • @excelsior27: @deldredge2008 said it perfectly. All three of these songs represent the history and tradition of CU, and are together, the official Fight Song Sequence.

This is something that makes us unique from other schools. There is no "main" fight song.

I personally would LOVE it if the rest of the students would bother singing/learning Glory, Go, and especially the CU Alma Mater. These songs mean more to more people than we could ever know. They deserve our respect.

  • @buffregiment It is clear then, I am convinced. I do not want to, but I will decide to delete the vid and make a new one, but I don't have much time it will be a LONG time until the new one comes up-I have hard classes.

Do keep in mind that I do only the fight songs, under an agreement with someone else doing these things similarly. If you want to hear the alma mater, or if it's not there and request it to be up, go to halftwin17.

  • @excelsior27 Please understand that this wasn't personal against you. Like you said earlier to @deldredge2008, these are for some good educational value. If anything, as diehard CU people, we wanted to make sure that everyone is properly informed.

If you are dead set on making a new video, you could check out the Golden Buffalo Marching Band's new CD. It has the updated musical style and tempo.

  • The three together all represent the 'official' fight songs of the University of Colorado. Glory Colorado representing the University System (CU Boulder, CU Denver, and University of Colorado), Go Colorado Represents the Boulder Campus, and Fight CU represents the Athletics at CU. All three make up the University of Colorado's Fight Songs.

  • @deldredge2008 Well, do you know the MAIN fight song of CU?

  • @excelsior27 did you not read what i posted below?... i guess they didn't post in the order that i posted them

  • @deldredge2008 Yes... highly unlikely that I would ignore 5 posts by the same person.

Are you a student at CU?

  • @excelsior27 yeah, sorry about the 5 posts, but it wouldn't let me put it in one.

yes i am a student, but i also feel i know a little bit about the history of the fight song and some other traditions, having studied a little bit about them. Few current students know the importance of glory as well as go colorado, but they play their part in the history of what this university represents.

Another song which seems under appreciated by the student body is the Alma Mater.

  • Go Colorado was written later (I want to say the 80's but I could be wrong) by a Glee club which thought that CU deserved an original fight song.

  • @deldredge2008 ok, it was written in the late 50's and posted in a CU songbook in '67

  • @deldredge2008 OK, I thank you for the info- It is good to put some educational value in these vids I make- they aren't meant for putting fans up for game day.

  • Fight CU was the second fight song and it has more punch than the original fight song. This song too, however, was not a CU original. It was stolen from the school Kelver.

  • Glory Colorado is the song that has been with the school since the late 1800's and it is what the students first sang during the football games. Obviously Glory Colorado got its melody the battle hymn of the republic.

  • Fight CU is not the official fight song. it's just the most well known fight song.

  • even though I'm a diehard texas fan, I have to say, not only is this a great fight song, it's catchy as hell...I CAN'T GET IT OUTTA MY HEAD!

  • Colorado i used to think you guys were pretty cool then you and Nebraska left i hope yall both lose every game this season

  • This video doesn't do CU justice. All the songs today are a lot more active, and are played at a faster tempo, with better.

And to all the Huskers posting here, seriously? why come to a video about the CU fight songs to bad-mouth us? save it for the videos of are football team.

  • I do my best in finding mp3's, OK?

  • naw man, you're fine. I'm just saying I was looking at all the videos with CU's school song, and they were all so boring. No offense or anything to you.

  • Understood. :)
