I think it would be best for all, if Skåneland was reunited with Denmark. Denmark already consist of many different dialects, so I think we could easily welcome more eastern ones like we already have on Bornholm which to danes sounds somewhat swedish. We got the Jægers (one of the world finest special forces) - Our frogmen - and some very good soldiers. Even the Brits in Afghanistan say that the Danes have a high morale and are very skilled.
Plus we got a good and modern navy...
All together we might be unbeatable - but its not going to happen, Sweden prefer to be neutral.
And Denmark and Sweden probaly wont get along very well..

Jag tycker att ska man ha ett sånt förbund så ska man avsätta monarkin helt istället, det hade hjälpt att radera bort onödiga skillnader mellan länderna :)

Bara om man skulle lyckas hitta bevis på att Karl XII hadde en son och att den släkten är här idag skulle jag villa bevara monarkin och så klart göra kungen till kung igen men det lär ju inte henda. vet inte hur norge och danmark har med sina kungar men ja down with the monarchy! Not at all, Sweden didn't really have Denmark ever, and Norway have only been a union with sweden durning 100 years from 1800 - 1900. Sweden have only been really united with Finland. But sure you R right we have had all those countrys but not at the same time.

You didnt control Denmark nor whole Germany, you controled northern part of Germany called Hannover region you tryed to take Denmark but invain. And yes as Tolle said you never controlled Norway in that way, the union if you count yes. We were at our biggest i middelages where we controlled whole Eastern England and a very big part of scandinavia. It's funny to see how colonisation aged affect african countries like Ghana thier capital is called Christianshavn.

They hated Swedish occupation (simply because it was a foreign rule) and when we lost those regions to the Russians, they quickly realized that it was in fact, "The good old Swedish time" because life was better under Svensk rule! :)

We Danish was certaintly unprepared for this no doubt, Sweden was a worthy enemy, the biggest enemy of Denmark. Even though we were killing our own brothers we still killed each others, and we asked ourself why?? Until we managed to see that we fight for stuborn generals and greedy Kings who just want land and land. The Swedish and the Danish people have always been good at each others. But i must admit we lost that battle but the war was pretty much won on both sites. Long live Scandinavia!

You missed one of the cooler stuff before the battle. The Swedish general noticed the hatred among his soldiers against the Danes. So he gave them dubble ransom of vodka and said "Look brave lads and the Danes will run" Most of the army where peasents but they fought thanks to there hatred and drunkness just like elite forces. This according to Voltaire that intervjued several of the officers(French ones hired by Sweden).

I agree, its well put together and informative, its just the yellow writing over-lapping the pictures that makes it hard to read. I'm also colour blind and Yellow writing on a white background is unreadable... could be perfect, but its still good.

Skåne was not danish, by then it was rightfully a part of the swedish kingdom. Denmark invaded Skåne, they did not liberate it. Rantzau was a veteran, but should have realised that the danish army was not a match against the swedish carolean army.

Skåne was part of the Swedish Kingdom by the treaty of Roskilde, and rightfully so. But not an integrate part. §9 of the treaty stated that Skåne, Halland and Blekinge should remain as duchies in a swedish conglomerate state. The provinces was unlawfully integrated into Sweden in 1720.

Wel the Norwegian army was to be a defencive force in the great northern war, mainly defending Norway so if there were some norwegian tropps in that battle there shure is no facts to read about it as i have seen. Were did you find it?

When you think about it its not that weird. Many norwegians travalled to Denmark, enlisted and joined the Danish army.

Norwegians were mostly conserned about defending theyre homes in Norway hardly ennything more. But as history tells there were many Norwegians wich moved to copenhagen. probably many of Norwegian heritage there today.

But Sweden were the aggressors in this war. When Scania belonged to Denmark, Sweden had over 60 raids and attacks on the Scanian provinces. That's why Scanians never really accepted the Swedish rule. Also because the Swedish king were a cruel military dictator. Denmark had a twice as big GDP as Sweden did.
