I'm just now seeing your vid and I totally relate to your excitement, but here we are 2 years later and they've only just released the Canales footage, almost all of which is lipsync. For me that '93 Corpus show and the '93 Astrodome are the ones I want to see. I've made several trips to Corpus since '96 begging Abraham to release this footage. I haven't given up but I'm not that excited anymore.
the selena dvds are being released soon you can preorder it at best buy one is called selena performances and its being released november 22 or 23 next month and i saw they are releasing the corpus christi live 1993 and johnny carnales but i dont know the release date for those
At any rate, I have the Selena Live concert footage that aired in CC after her death butt sadly its on VHS...I don't know how to transfer that to video. Any thoughts?
I considered Selena a friend - I visit her at the shop and talk about music and such, go to all her shows, A.B. gave me backstage passes to the shows, and she was amazing. Hands down her best show was the Labor Day Weekend show in 1994 in CC - she wore the outfit she is wearing in your Monterrey footage but the pony tail is curly. AMAZING!!!!

hey halfrican119, I just returned from Corpus Chrisi and I just want to let you know that they are also showing the DVD which is Johnny Canales presenta Selena. They should be releasing it soon because the whole DVD is completely done. The whole DVD was awesome.
When I went to the museum I met her dad. He was cool, we chatted for a while then he told one of the employees to take me upstairs to see the recording studio.

he means like they didnt digitally record the audio like they did in 1995, but they still have audio, the audio that the cameras recorded. fans are not bothered if the audio sounds not as crystal clear as the 1995 concert, we just wanna see it
All of Selena's concerts Q-productions has. That's not the problem the problem is that, they can't sell it because they need permission (Licensing and stuff) in order to sell the dvd. Q-productions doesnt have the rights to Selena's Catalog (from 1989 to 1995) They have to pay EMI in order to use those songs. So, they have it, because again, almost all of Selena's concerts they taped for their own archives, but they can't really put it out there for sale without authorization.
of all the concerts that Q production has, wonder if they're allowed to post clips and views of it like here on youtube? EMI's not complaining that their videos are appearing here.... LOL
so when did this DVD go on sell?? I would love to own this DVD for my wife and kids!
