  • well done!

  • mj grave is not allowed 2 have visitors from what i have heard

  • moby sux

  • Lisa,

You should update this fantastic video to include Dame Taylor (The great 7?). You already have the In Memoria shots. Perhaps you could add the floral casket spray shot that you point to from findagrave.

There is another video on here that shows the back of the In Memoria crypt.

    /watch?v=0sg2QNJ5yUA (1:08)

Thanks again for your great video!

  • Lol when i die i want my own mausoleum i want it to be big and only for me. Everyone will come and see me because im important, kinda like lenin.

  • I think Liz taylor is in the crypt behind and at the base of the "In Memoria" angel shown at the beginning of this video.

  • I just paid 230 k for private mausoleum . Along with another 100 k for the area surrounding it. My father's family has 8 person marble one in NYC my grandfather paid 600k for it in 1960. I recently just waited 6 months for the approval to move my mother to bury her in my Spot. Its well worth the money. Thats the deal with money it can buy you happiness in the end. Its being built now. It should be done my fall of 2011. We go out in style and class.

  • MICHEAL JACKSON, MJ MJ MJ, IVE BEEN TO HIS GRAVE, its nice yes, but who gives a fuck, its just a grave. I own a crypt for myself at Forest Lawn, which is why I was able to get inside of the GM and vist his area. There are two cameras recording at all times, once pointing right AT his tomb, and the other pointing across the room at the doorway. People act like it's visting god or something.

  • I wish Marty Arrouge had allowed Norma to be "billed" as Norma Shearer - her identity as a movie star was paramount to her. And I think it's ABSURD that Forest Lawn doesn't open this portion of the Great Mausoleum, as long as people were quiet and respectful - I admit, 10 years ago I hopped the chain to get close up to Harlow's tomb - it was worth the risk. Those FL snobs....

  • I noticed that Marie Dressler's nameplate has her birth date as 1871. She was actually born in 1868. She had celebrated her 65th and last birthday in November 1933 and L.B.Mayer had thrown a huge birthday celebration in her honor.

  • I enjoyed your video alot!~it was well put together & flowed quite lovely~Your choice of song was fantastic!~Thank you so very much for sharing your artistic work 'n talents!!

  • he is in another building on the other side because i had saw it, my grandmother is in there and i was there paying my grandmother respect to hers and i saw when i had walk inside of the door, its straight ahead when you walk in there

  • was Michael Jackson cremated???

  • @Ketren2 u say it will always be mj home have u watched any of the mj documentary's on tv at all? he said he would never return to neverland after sex abuse claim which since his death all the evil kids concerned have admitted they have lied to get at his once vast wealth. I belief that if these abuse cases never came forward I belief mj wld be alive now in my opinion

  • I live 15 miles from oatman, az where clark and carole spent their honeymoon at the oatman hotel a must see!!!!

  • @tristatebigstrappers Really? That is where they spent part of their honeymoon (they spent it in Palm Springs also). Funny to think of them up there with all the mules and stuff. Cool though.

  • Did you have any trouble with security?

  • No way ,not Neverland,it was tainted

  • loved the vid we are all never forgotten

  • This must be the daddy of all the cemeteries in Hollywood. Will you be making another one ?? and Westwood is another great cemetary.

  • Beautiful! This isn't open to the public is it?

    That's what I've heard anyway. :(

  • @CDSx143 MJ IS NOT HERE. NO ONE KNOWS WHERE HE IS LAID TO REST.

  • wonderful job on this!

  • great video the picture the music is just perfect

    congratulations for the video

  • Michael is in the GREAT Masouleum. Close to George Burns.

  • It;s sad that on one can see micheal's resting place, but I think he would have approved, he was a huge old movie fan.Sad he didn't get his last wish to be buried by children. With all the nutcases out there I can understand the family's concern.

  • Very Nice.....

  • This is a beautiful & spooky video and the music is perfect.. I was horrified when the site of Michael Jackson's burial was announced, but some of the views expressed here have made it seem like a very good choice. Logically I know that the person is gone when the soul goes back to God but I hope it would have been a place he would have approved of. It should have been Neverland, but then he shouldn't be dead.

  • My family's niche (for cremated remains) is in the Great Mausoleum, Iris Columbarium, just above the main level...one space still left, and I'm thinking about putting it up for sale. I wonder if there's anyone who might want to be in the same neighborhood as MJ for eternity, and is able to afford it...

  • how much ya thinking of selling it for?

  • I have no idea what it would sell for...saw a couple of ads for similar Forest Lawn plots on e-bay, ranging from $6k to $22k, so probably something in between.

  • how much are you talking here?

  • Hi, Can anyone tell me the name of this song?

    Thanks!

  • We Are All Made of Stars by Moby (it's listed in the end credits. :-)

  • Oops! Cheers for that. :)

  • It´s a real terrace:

    nypost . com/seven/08192009/photos/michael_jackson.jpg

But I guess, he won´t show up.

  • Comment removed

  • Is there a map with the sections of the Great Mausoleum on the internet?

  • I've been looking and can't find one...as I recall Forest Lawn doesn't even have a printed map available for visitors, which made it hard to find my family niche...but I found it anyhow.

  • 0:35

thats the window he wil be buried by

  • No, that window is on the Memorial Terrace by Clark Gable. MJ is in another area of the GM, the Holly Terrace.

  • Are there other celebrities buried in the Holly Terrace section? If so, who?

  • I love you michael and i hope you rest in peace. im glad his placed there. such a beautiful place for such beautiful person like michael. I will always miss you. RIP

    Joker :) haha

    mwa mwa.

  • This is the most perfect place for Michael. Filled with art, old Hollywood, mystery, beauty, and, above all, quiet privacy.

    Rest in paradise Michael Jackson.

  • I would like to find out the exact location of Michael Jackson's site. I hear it will be very close to the Last Supper painting, which is open to the public. I am ready and willing to go to jail if he's site is in the non-public part. I will only take a picture for my famous grave sites.

  • Is it not possible for every visitor to enter the mausoleum?

  • ok...got it its my inabiliy to read the scdript...you have provided the info :P

  • Hi Lisa who is mave Dweela...?

  • Seems Miss Harlow is becoming a star once more. I keep hearing , 'who is she?" a whole new generation of Harlow lovers born!! She is my favorite!

May MJ rest... wherever he may be for all of eternity.

  • This is a fitting burial site for MJ. Historical, ornate, private. He had a great respect for old Hollywood. Lisa I've watched this clip countless times. Very nice job. The Moby tune helps bridge the decades and represent to a new generation. Gracias!

  • I am so totally celebrating tonight. I have a wall crypt there you guys. YES. I will be there with MJ forever and ever and EVER...Hehe:) I wish he had stayed with us much much longer but at least he will be very close to me. I am jumping with joy because of it. Michael, I am coming honey. I love you.

  • Lovesoldier4MJ....Hang in there kid...I'm sending a psychiatric team to you ASAP..Don't do anything stupid now, just hang on, help is on it's way.. If therapy doesn't work I can break out the good old Red Asser spanking stick to knock some common sense into you...

  • LOL, you said it 4 me. Thanx

  • Thank you for posting this video. RIP Mike.

  • At first when the music starts it sounds like Michael Jackson's 'Billie Jean' ^^ So thats the place where he will finally buried! R.I.P. Michael Jackson

  • Michael is in a beautiful Mausoleum, which is above ground. RIP MJ.

  • Michael never wanted to be buried in the ground. I'm sure he doesn't mind being entombed with some of the most famous and classic Hollywood legends. May he finally have eternal rest in his final resting place.

  • For me, I think it just sinking in now that his family has set a date to burry him. It just feels really ampty inside. Tears can not stop. I just feel this sad feeling inside and it painful at the same time. I feel really bad for his children that this is really it. They have to start the process of moving on by accepting the fact. Yes he will not be forgotten but the void will be felt greatly. I just hope that he's at peace and smiling because that's how I'll remember him for ever.

  • This is a beautiful place for MJ to be laid to rest....of coarse that a..hole Sneddon will probably try to keep him out!!!

  • So... this is where Michael's final resting place? I am sad bec. he had to die too soon... We will be missing u, Mike... FOREVER... :'(

  • Lovely, tasteful piece for all of us who love classic Hollywood. Don't like to be picky, but music from their time may have been a bit more appropriate. Keep up the great work, Lisa!

  • i saw it because i was in there in his casket is straight when you walk in the door my grandmother is in there and i was there paying my grandmother respect and thats when i saw it,

  • Can people get access to the The Great Mausoleum Six??

  • All MGM stars too.

  • amazing, but what made you pick that music? thanks so much for showing these very special pictures!!

  • It's a favorite song of mine, and seemed to fit the idea of these people who came together in a six degrees separation way in life, and when they became stardust they ended up back together again. Glad you liked it.

  • I've always wanted to go visit Clark & Carole, Jean and Norma & Irving. But I hear they don't let you back there unless you're family. David O. Selznick is back there too. Shucks. I guess it depends on when you go and whose on guard. I would love to go visit!

  • Just curious, but who is buried in the crypt above Norma Thalberg Arrogue? Her second husband?

  • The crypt above Norma belongs to Irving's mother, Henrietta. Next to Henrietta is Irving's father, William. Below William is Irving's sister, Sylvia, who was a screenwriter. Martin Arrouge passed away in 1999; not sure what happened to his remains. Thanks for the great question! :)

  • Of all the hollywood cemeteries. Which one is the daddy of them all?? I would say its the Hollywood-hills one.

  • Just LOVED this, Lisa....your photographs are superb!

    xx

  • Lisa - you are amazing! I adored this video and the Moby music was wonderful, too. More, please! Lynn ;-)
