I absolutely love this performance, she really held her own didn't she!? She commanded the crowd, never ever showed signs of nervousness, she really knew the power and strength of her voice then and how it was unmatched and unstoppable!!! She knew what she had, I'm so sorry that somewhere along the line she forgot how precious it was!!

That woman's voice was phenonmenal and she was this nation's Treasure and now it's all gone. Gone except for the films, videos and recordings of what once was. Sometimes I just want to kick Whitney's butt for what she's done to herself, because she didn't just do it to herself only, but she did it to us too. She is amazing. I call her the god of music, because when she sings everyone gets chills from watching it on t.v... imagen if you was in that audience, sometimes if you watch her audiences in the 90's, they looked as if they were about to pass out, because her voice is sooooo powerful that it can have physical effects.
Not many musical talents around that could do this. Particularly vocalists. She's deffinetly the best ever, but sure celine dion is good too.

Wonderful everyone wishes they could sing like her. Often imitated never duplicated. I wish she didn't do those drugs tho. I know probably dozens of producers would of loved to give her hit singles albums. Some well have been wasted on those who can't match her vocals.

She is amazing. I call her the god of music, because when she sings everyone gets chills from watching it on t.v... imagen if you was in that audience, sometimes if you watch her audiences in the 90's, they looked as if they were about to pass out, because her voice is sooooo powerful that it can have physical effects.
Not many musical talents around that could do this. Particularly vocalists. She's deffinetly the best ever, but sure celine dion is good too.

She's been touring Europe and can't even sing her own songs. People at the concerts are booing and walking out, or saying it was a waste of their money. Clive Davis tried to engineeer a comeback for her, but it didn't work.

@cassiehassan I feel you... Even with her raspier voice nowadays (which i love actually) Mariah can still sing her old songs, but only by re-arranging them. Most ppl's voices change as they get older so same goes for their songs.

She re write Hero because the first version she done wasnt they way she wanted too and was told what to do by Tommy (her ex) hence why she re write. i actually don't care if whitney's more vocally powerful than beyonce...i love beyonce so much...she can sing, she can dance, she can act. her stage presence is just too explosive and no one in this world can be so comparable or better than her. whitney is just all about voice...beyonce is a real full package: excellent vacal ability, graceful body gestures, sincere facial expressions, beautiful body shape and incomparable energy!!!

Here's the bottom line. Whitney has her own voice her own sound. When you hear her u know it is whitney. She like Mariah or Jill scott have that about them. THey are singers. Beyonce does not carry that wow factor when it comes to her voice. Why do you think she has those big stage shows to make up for it. I love beyonce as well but a real singer doesnt need dancers or big huge sets. I like to enjoy live music I could care less about what is giong on the stage. Whitney over Beyonce any day!

Wonderful everyone wishes they could sing like her. Often imitated never duplicated. I wish she didn't do those drugs tho. I know probably dozens of producers would of loved to give her hit singles albums. Some well have been wasted on those who can't match her vocals.
