Completely agree with you, except I don't think it's so much 80s. I think they are bringing back the 90s, with the sound of bands like Pavement and Built to Spill. Amazing guitar work. The album is phenomenal for a debut, I'm hoping these guys become huge someday.

hehe the little ditty at the end sounded like modest mouse's cover of 'sleepwalking'. and i guess the reverb was a little too much at the beginning, but i think that at a first time listen it really surprises the ear, and eventually (for me) i feel like it needs to be that much. i heard he used some cheap chinese condenser mic to record the vocals as well. can someone clarify?

OMG, u're seriously a musical genius.... I totally agree with every point u brought up concerning this track!

Buuuuut, I'd probably give it a 7 cuz I feel that the overpoweringly reverbed vocals detract from the overall score (musical and rating sense, XD) a bit more than u might let off.
