  • @lizard944, i stand corrected thank you. sorry loyd.

  • The father of Top Gun, only better.

  • Real nice piece of anticipation ! One of my best 25 even if it was a good way to recruit kids to go and kill people in the War Departement as the "Defence Departement" was correctly named before...

  • This is a beautiful movie.

  • Good movie. RIP Loyd Bridges

  • @mayfieldc23 Lloyd Bridges? That's Kirk Douglas. They do look a lot alike though...

  • call me old if that what you want but i was there in vf-84 when this movie was made hell i wired cameras up on the f-14's that shot the movies my name is joe denmark check it out for you self

  • 6 crew were killed in this... what about thier families... and the loss of a helicopter?

  • @Badgerbitesback I wasn't aware of any Helicoptor accident with this movie but there was one in Twilight Zone, The Movie. Actor Vic Morrow (age 53) and two child extras, My-Ca Dinh Le (age 7) and Renee Shin-Yi Chen (age 6), died July 23, 1982 as a result of an accident with a stunt helicopter. It crashed due to a pryotech incident that caused the pilot to lose control. The children were crushed under the chopper and Mr. Morrow was beheaded. Verified with IMDB.com

  • @papag1990 He's talking about what happens in the plot of the film.

  • @Badgerbitesback They were all swept overboard during the freak storm. How's that?

  • @Badgerbitesback And how do you tell an admiral that your CAG just vanished?

  • Good question!LOL

  • 46:42 almost crashed

  • This is an excellent movie. Think of the possiblities of something like this. "Splash 2 . . . Splash 2". That is a great line. Thanks for sharing this classic. I liked it the first time I saw and still now.

  • The part in the beginning where Kirk Douglas says something about there were supposed to be sunny skies ....the guy handing him the report and checking the periscope, is Gary Sinise!!! Pretty sure

  • Who says a worm hole would create deafning noise and render 5000 seaman unconscious at sea level. What a load of drivel

  • Sheen: Still think its a dream?

    Douglas: Its a nightmare! hahah!

  • RIP james ferrentino

  • @johnswackyworld Kirk Douglas outlives him!

  • @longhairfan kirk douglas has outlived alot of hollywood. one of the last ones life. hope he makes 100 -- from a fellow upstate new yorker.

  • One of my favorites. Just read James Farrentino died, he was very good in this.

  • 1:07:02

    tell him *g

  • haha at 24:41 hold it hold it hold it. go hold yo own!

  • the full movie on youtube, respekt,

btw: one of my favorite movies

  • i cant believe this got made and that i am just seeing this now i love this stuff

  • Take The Philadelphia Experiment, The Time Machine, and The Devil's Triangle, shake them up a bit, and this is what you get. Aircraft carrier travels through space from its home port in Virginia to Pearl Harbor, goes back to 12/6/41 rather than some arbitrary date, splashes two zeros, one pilot survives, played by an Asian actor who is Chinese in one movie, Vietnamese in another, Japanese in another, and Korean in yet another.

  • @MrBobsducky Cause they all look alike.
