  • i'm a thrasher, but i like apogtyma too...

    i don't like this cover

  • Fucking awesome cover!

  • I didn't like this song until Apoptygma Berzerk covered it..

Made me respect Metallica just a wee bit.

  • Disco always sucks.

  • @MyNameIsPABL0 It aint disco twat, thats like saying Metallica is country, fool..

  • @jimgab80 Only morons offend people with different tastes. Disco, electro, synthpop - no matter how you call it, it sucks. And yeah, Metallica recorded at least country song.

  • well.... i like it more than metallica. shot me im guilty :)

  • Hey, it aint TECHNO it's Synth-pop. Whole other genre.

  • Sounds sound like that singer from Bullet For My Valentine.

  • @TheHarlingenLegend Please don't compare Apop to Bullet For My Valentine. Ugh!

  • i love the chimes :D

  • I heard this on itunes radio

  • This does sound like the techno version of " Fade To Black , and like it a lot . My sister first told me of it and said I would have to listen to the lyrics to know it's a Metallica cover version .

  • awesome !!!

  • i liked the radical transformatin from hard rock to tekno industrial xD it is good but this version is not for me maybe for a party it could be great xDD

  • i like it. its pretty good

  • uaho really cool excellent, i liked much

  • im old skool, but you have to move with the times, and as long as its heavy thats the only thing that matters.

  • I'm over 2 minutes in... Is this Fade to Black or not?? Haha.

  • w...t...f?

  • @ThePs3ownsxbox HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA STFU

  • @treencd hahaha agreed

  • Love the original and I love this one, I am still not sure the tubular bells were a good idea though...

  • @Bandanko I know I've heard those bells in another Metallica song before. If you notice at the end he sings the melody from The Unforgiven ending.

  • @KUROGUY That bell melody is the main guitar from U2's New Year's Day.

  • @stilwel It sounds similar to it but it is not the same. New Years Day's melody is longer than that. Besides, why would they intentionally add a melody from a U2 song when this song is a tribute to metallica? That doesn't make sense.

  • Metallica's best song, and the best cover of it

  • Its not happy, its energetic. There is a big difference.

  • Had Apoptygma just changed the lyrics, I'm sure no one would even guess that this is a cover of Fade to Black. People are actually only listening to the sound and attitude of a song to make up their opinion if they like it or not...

  • ti p@p@ria einai ayth re?

    Xaxaxaxa this is awful!!!!

  • @SavaPower kolimenos mouxlas-metalas

  • @nicknorz den hksera oti prepei na m'aresoyn tetoies arxidies gia na eimai super metalas...xaxaxaxa re ti psonia yparxoyn...

  • Where is Fade To Black????

  • well this is a good version of fade to black in a gay electronic way, but not that bad, the only thing that pissed me off was the almost 2 minutes intro it kinda suck

  • Much better than the original!

  • @Andre0238 you must be mad and/or kidding me. I got respect for other genres and I believe that someone actually like it but it never was and never would be better than the original. period.

  • @Andre0238 pote na perasw na sou kanw enan exorkismo?

  • @Metalpefki mazi s re file :P

  • I was so turned on to this song did not know it was a Metallica song at first since I hate Metallica and never listen to them as I hated the whole metal movement

  • This is probably the best electronic cover of any metal song ever recorded. Phenomenal.

  • @Trancemaster2052 i totally agree!

  • @vampiredude001 Thank you haha. It really is great. So well done.

  • Way too happy. This song is supposed to be depressing and suicidal. But listening to this, I can only picture some techno junkie jumping around waving his arms everywhere being all happy. Not a bad song, greatly produced, but seriously guys, this isn't Fade to Black.

  • @Psycherz By about age 9 most people can decipher the difference between happy and fast. Not sure how a goth/industrial song filled with minor chords qualifies as "happy" but maybe that's just me.

  • @vsander09

:| The feel of it. It just isn't a depressing sound. Too upbeat.

  • dude. this song is epic!

  • have the cd. most of the songs r more like electropop or ebm, means some older stuff but nothings rly industrial

  • @NaecroLov3

ebm and electropop/synthpop are sub-genres of the industrial genre...

  • If there is one thing Apoptygma Berzerk does well, (besides disappointing his fan base) is cover songs.

  • good point. there is nothing industrial about this. i still like it though.

  • Pura basura......han estropeado la canción!!!!!

  • No esta asi como muy bueno pero esta mejor que el de "nothing else matters"

  • Check out the "nothing else matters" version they made... Its a tribute.... not a copy... each group makes their version of the tune as a tribute... if you want to hear the original... buy a metallica record...

And yes Apop is lightyears bette live.... to bade they changed genre... now plays electropunk or whatever they call it.... but it was fun while they lasted....

    :D

  • ..is ja nur geil!

  • fucking godly remix, thanks for adding!

  • It's pretty light, but apoptygma is an EBM band - industrial's closest thing to dance. It's closer to industrial over dance due to being driven by the dirty base line and gritty/static drum sound instead of the more clean sounds of the electronic drums found in dance. There's also a lot of extra 'noise' and 'industrial sounds' played over the track to give it more grit. It's subtle, but it's still EBM.

  • What the hell. How is that supposed to sound anything like Fade to Black. ...

  • This isn't supposed to sound anything like fade to black.

It's supposed to sound like apoptygma berzerk covering metallica.

And they both sound like pure awesomeness

  • when you get to about 1:30 it starts sounding like the original song...

  • Sacrilege as it may be, I think I prefer this version over Metallica's. Five stars.

  • the live version totally blows this version out of the water for that matter.

  • I love the Blackest Albums if only for all the different takes on Metallica song. I can totally dance to this at a rave. I've been a Metallica fan for over a decade, and this is just so cool.

I never would have conceived on this remix, it's so different!

  • i listen to metallica AND apop and 've seen both live already, but... i don't really like this version of this song.

  • I am a die-hard metallica fan and this version is fucking amazing. a mix of metallica and industrial, who would of thought it works so fuckin well!!

    deffo downloadin this album

  • I'm not sure how people can say this sucks... I don't like it, I'd rather listen to Metallica version, this version isn't for me. Doesn't mean it sucks....

  • @TheClownPeople FADE TO FAIL.

  • totally diffrent with the industrial spark.

    sounds great though :)

  • Meh, coming from a big Metallica fan I gotta say its not bad.

  • Yeah, Metallists says that industrial music sucks, but this isn´t bad, becaus is something different and interesting 5 stars for me

  • Where can I download this song/album?

    Thanks

  • Its on iTunes, or you could try air MP3.

  • That was noting relating to the original. Frankly, it was bad.

  • It sounds nothing like the original, but it's still pretty badass.

  • interesting?

  • i love how "metalica" is so tiny

  • Works better on them than on Metallica, IMO.

  • Could I have an mp3 of this please? Pm me, thanks.

  • wow this is a good club mix

  • bought this album in the early 2000's been a long time since I listened to this cd.

  • i think they pull this off really well live

  • geniaal
