Hey Quintin, you should use the heaviest strings you can get by with like ol' SRV. I hear a rumor that he even used a piano string for his low E could that be true? Anyways, like Lonelyguitar said you keep your eyes on the prize my friend and you will be able to play better than 99% of us without even having to concentrate on what you are doing. You obviously have found your niche at a very early age and for that you should be grateful and don't lose your humility. Good Luck!

Thanks so much pvelvet,I'm not sure about the piano string but i was using someone elses 12- string at the time of this video.I bought myself a Washburn 12-string that sounds great and is very easy to play.I don't put heavy strings on my 12- string but I put them on my electric guitars.Thanks for the comment:)Quintin

the rumor is taken from a quote made by a person close to stevie, it was someone as such:

"Add more wood and he'd be playing a fucking piano"

Stevie was known to use the biggest gauge strings available, if you want to experience what pain is, I suggest try them out! :)
