  • Thank GOD Don Bluth is not dead

  • thank god its not the nes version

  • Comment removed

  • this game is epic i got it yesterday but i cant beat the dragon

  • This game is great and fun, but it gets too easy after a while. I made a perfect game it go so eay. Nearly 400000 points.

  • Are you Damn Kidding Me.

I've rather buy The game boy version of dragon's lair.

  • @rescuehero942

I have the gbc Dragon's lair,

You can see they really tried on some of the screens! Its not true to the moves but its good when you (like me) dont have a dsi/iphone

  • one of the only reasons i play this is because of princess daphne

  • How come they don't bring the other games like this: Space Ace and Cliffhanger (Lupin the Third) which also came out in 1983??

I liked Cliffhanger the best cause it was Lupin the Third

  • Lol yaaaay where goign back to save Princess Tytties!!

  • This game used to get bad reviews in the 80's. It's simply a short movie that will stop if you don't hit the right button at the right time.

  • this game looks so awesome

I always wanted a game that has a twist every corner!!

I'm gonna buy this along with Dark Void Zero after Pokemon HG/SS

  • Only if that is truth

But my dam country don't have nintendo points card to sell!

    In HK

  • @badmonkeyballplayer Credit Card?

  • E P I C !!!!

  • ive got the full list of moves for this and space ace if anyone wants them? if i get enough requests i could upload them, these are from the instruction manuals from the laserdisc versions.

  • bring it to the Wii PLEASE!!!!!!

  • this is cool

  • It's really too bad that this will only be available for the DSi. It's really going to limit your audience. Many of us felt our DS Lite was sufficient, and had no need for a low resolution camera or SDcard slot. Please consider making a retail package for the rest of us (The majority of DS owners).

Is this the same game that was being shown in other YouTube videos on a regular DS Lite? It looks the same!

  • the camera is actually a lot more impressive than you would think, especially the different lenses. Dragon's Lair is available for other things too, but would you really rather pay $30 than $8?

  • Different lenses? I believe those are just filters (via software). I wasn't expecting 12MP, but only .3Megapixel?I think they could do better.

I used to buy every ver. of the Game Boy (even the imported "GB Light"), but those days are gone. People can't afford to buy a new DS system every 6-12 months. Especially with minor improvements.

I have nothing against that though, but to make a game like this only available on the DSi is wrong, especially when it was first demo'd on the DS Lite!

  • Sorry but the DSi is a HUGE improvement from the DS Lite.. I owned every DS model ever made and the DSi is in fact a much much much bigger improvement, its just like a portable evrsion of the Wii except with better games.

  • @gtas123 And missing a GBA slot. The DSi is cool, but I'd have to buy one instead of trading in my Lite. Gotta be able to play Guitar Hero and migrate pokemon.

  • @gtas123 not true theres a lot of good games on wii aswell

  • @gtas123 Haha...haha.. er.. haha. Please explain.. how is the DSi like a portable Wii except that they both play Nintendo games? I think it shares more in common with a Game & Watch (Circa 1982) than with a Wii personally.

  • @gtas123

3ds BLOWS AWAY the Dsi.... BLOWS it away

  • @funkyflights With what? Games you played before? Eye straining?

  • @MrSmammered

Turn off the 3D if it strain's your eyes.... Graphically it's the best I"ve seen for a hand held...

  • and Yes. I would pay more for a game that has a display box, manual and cartridge. I'm not big on digital downloads. I guess I am old fashioned, but I like having the physical materials that come along with buying a video game.

I don't see why they would have to charge $30 either. These cards are expensive to manufacture. Just look at all the HK bootleg DS and GBA games that sell for under $8 brand new!

  • Yea, it's .3 MP, but if you ever used the Camera, you'd never notice, the pictures don't look very grainy or low res at all. And I guess lens was the wrong choice of words, though that is what the system calls them. They are filters, but impressive, such as the color filter (takes all the color out, then allows you to add colors in by tapping objects on the touch screen, like have a world where only Blue shows up, and everything else remains gray). And I believe a zoom lens is being made.

  • They look OK on the DS's 256 x 192 screen, but would be useless for anything else.

I highly doubt a zoom lens is being made. You don't want to see what a zoomed in 256x192 x .3MP would look like!

Nintendo should take a note from Apple and make it technically superior. If Apple can put a 640x480 video cam into a $130 iPod Nano there is no reason Nintendo can't do the same.

An accelerometer would be great for games too. Nintendo should be doing these sort of upgrades for the DSi XL!

  • No they really shouldnt dude -_-.. Nintendo should save things like that for next gen.. Theres a chain dude.. GBA- SNES DS- N64, next DS will have the power of the gamecube..

  • Also, I guarantee you that if they released it for retail, they would sell maybe 100 copies.

  • @videogameobsession They won't. This is called marketing. They're trying to make you all invest in a DSi.

  • Of course... Nintendo is big on releasing a new revision every 6-12 months!

Nintendo DSi XL US release in 2010 by the way.

What I was mad at though is how they first showed this off on the DS Lite and then switched to DSiWare. I believe they lost a lot of fans and potential sales on that move. If they decide to sell it on a cartridge for around $20, I will buy it.

  • but not many people would, thats the problem. Realeasing it digitially would make them actually GAIN a profit, whereas selling it in retail would make them lose money, especially if they charged less money for the product. Not everyone wants to buy Dragon's Lair for $20-30, especially after so many re-releases lately.

  • Sure they would. There are probably a lot more casual gamers/classic gamers/retrogamers (Call them what you will) on the DS than on say the PSP.

Why not release it for both? Sony does this with the PSP. There is no reason digital downloads and retail releases can't both be accomplished for a single game. Why not make everyone happy? Personally I have bought DL for the Sega CD, CD-i, PCCDROM, DVD, 20th Anniversary DVD, & Blu-Ray. I'll gladly buy it again on the DS... or even the PSP.

  • Um, it has to be done for Sony because they have a system that CAN'T DO retail copies (PSP Go). Even then, some games are digital download only (Patapon 2). Also, you're using yourself as "everyone", when in reality, you're in a minority.

  • @videogameobsession also i think i sounded mean so sorry

  • Sorry but, the DS Lite is obsolete.. And we DSi owners BOUGHT THE DSi for DSiware games such as this and MANY MANY more.. How about you stop being cheap and just UPGRADE?

  • Whatever makes you feel good about upgrading your DS every 6 months. I assume you will also buy the DSi XL in March.

So explain to me why I should get rid of my DS Lite and pay $140 on another DS, when I don't care about the goofy toy camera or downloading games that aren't good enough to make it to a retailer.

I'm not cheap (I own over 100 consoles and 6,000 games) but I'm not going to buy everything Nintendo releases anymore unless it's necessary. I feel the same way about the PSP Go! BTW.

  • I'm not going to buy the DSi XL.. Why? Because it's not a big update.. And lol not so good game on DSiware? So I suppose you dont like Bomberman, Bejewled, etc, right?

  • Well, I feel the same way about the DSi differences from the DS Lite. I don't care about low res cameras or digital downloads.

I do like Bomberman. In fact I just bought it for my PS3. $5 for a 10 player online 1080p version. I also have it for my GBA, NES, GB, & DS. Why would I want to buy it for my DSi? Does it use the camera or something?

I might actually buy the DSi XL since it has a few more improvements over the DS Lite. We'll see.

  • I am not going to buy the XL.. Why? It's just TOO BIG!

  • I would like a bigger screen. I play the PSP more because the of that. Hopefully they made a better D-pad. I still think the best D-pad on a portable belongs to the Neo-Geo Pocket. I think the DS pad is way too mushy.

  • @videogameobsession 3ds is gonna have big screen too and why do people always complain about the texture of something on a joystick it never bothers me whenever i play any controller

  • @sonicadx Believe me, if you've ever tried a Neo-Geo Pocket you would know exactly what I mean. The DS pad is "mushy". Digital pads should be precise and clicky. There is a reason arcade joysticks were like that for 40+ years!

  • @videogameobsession actuallyy the cameras are good

  • @videogameobsession Your abit wrong

    dsi= 2008

    xl=2010

xl was just if you needed a bigger system and screen so

dsi= 3 years when 2011 comes... 100 consoles you honest have to mean roms otherwise where would you put em and i also think that theres not a hundred consoles out yet unless you mean unrelated to games... i bet ur only saying that to make you feel better since you don't have a dsi like most people who don't do besides dsi though has a lot of features... web sound camera is some

  • um, there are numeous ports of dragons lair, i even think there is one for the ipod, there is also a dvd one, I downloaded the game, and it is fun, but just becuase its on the dsi doesn;t mean its just fro the dsi

  • i can't wait

  • Cool, wasn't really into these interactive movie games, i preferred the light gun shooters like Mad Dog Mcree and Crime Patrol, still waiting for a release date for those

  • Why not regular DS? I don't have a DSi.

  • This will make a *great* portable game... perfect game-play time, and a great use of the DS technology! The only thing missing from the arcade is a once-full/now-emptied pocket of quarters and the comforting feel of chewed gum under your Converses...
