@ peartfan........ME FUCKING TOO!!!!!!!! i should of been born the generation that actually produces proper music unlike the BULLSHIT they call music today!! like what is wrong with the music today...im 20 and wish i was 50 cos atleast i would of been in the era of amazing rock and roll...if only there was a time machine! ha dreams a free... :(
groovy man!never heard this tune until 2005,i heard it on the almost famous soundtrack i found in a thrift store.should been bigger hit for them(#86 pop,1967)i like this one.this group and sky saxon will live on.R.I.P
I was 10 years old and hanging out in the studios of KRLA which were across the street from where I lived in Pasadena. I always wondered what sort of organ Daryl Hooper was playing throughout the song. It's the coolest and still stands up today.
One of the wonderful ULTRA-RARITES from KRLA, KFWB and KHJ in December 1966. Thanks SOOOOOOOOO much for posting this rarity.(God, I HATE "radio consultants !!!!)
"Radio Consultants" are sub-human and don't know their F-ing asses from a F-ing hole in the ground !!!!!
@tthomaselli2 I don't know what you mean by famous but it did get a lot of air play in Southern California. And if it got airplay in Los Angeles it was good!
'Almost Famous' was a movie that came out in 2000, I think.; If I remember, correctly, the song was featured in the movie, but, not on its sound-track.
If you look on Wikipedia & see the 'Sound-track listing' section for the movie, I want to say it was in the sub-category of 'Songs featured in the film, but, not included on the sound-track', but, I could be wrong. If it's not there, then, it's on the official sound-track listing.
@tthomaselli2 You could of fooled me. Just like the music of today I care little of movies. Most of the time my wife drags me out to a "good movie' I am often disappointed. Thanks for your input anyway!
Many might not know this but this song was included on Nixon's famous 'Black List'. Sky will never get the credit he deserves - he certainly didn't get it while he was alive.
