The original is my favorite vampire film ever, and Chris Sarandon and Roddy McDowall were both AMAZING in it...with that said, I was VERY surprised that the film makers of this film got it right. Where so many of the remakes have sucked in the last 10 years (Hello 'Nightmare on Elm Street'), this one was perfect. It kept the story but changed the characters. David Tennant stole the movie. It would have been good without him, but he made it so much better with his performance.
