  • Not likely. Static electricity is the build up of a lot of electric potential. This is measured in volts. Static electricity has zero current, measured in amperage, because it is not moving. In order for electricity to kill you, besides being burned to death as is most often with lightning, it must pass through a major organ causing it to stop. The human body can with stand many tens of thousands of Volts, but not a lot of current.
