Kippenbestaan the American revolution wasn't that start of the uprising in all colonies, The British Empire just got bigger and bigger for the next 170 years, the only decrease in British territory since the American Revolution was in 1921..
And The Royal Navy may be smaller than the USA's navy, but it has alot of ships which are far more advanced, and is constantly moving forward pioneering unmanned surface ships, sub surface ships and air craft etc. the Type 45 is also quite easily the best Air Defence destroyer in the world.
The only reason the USA won its independance was because virtually every other major country in Europe declared war and blocked Britains naval supply lines to the American Colonies, the USA's armies spent most the war running away from large battles until the French arrived, and the Largest battle in the war didn't even involve the USA in any way, it was the Great Siege of Gibraltar where France and Spain fought Britain.
Wait, NVM, it wasn't in the Napoleonic War. Still, don't underestimate the value of American Forces in the Revolutionary War. American Light Infantry with Kentucky Rifles were capable of causing chaos in British lines with a well placed round into an Officer's Skull.
@angryredcom we have two and half million more men to ship over to add to the 2 million there already plus the improved weaponry like Thompsons and BAR's but you cut us out and ended the fighting with an armistice in WWI......what do you think the citizens of the USA forgot that detail?....many still felt we were tricked, Pershing wanted Allied Boots marching thru the avenues of Berlin....probably no new war after that finale....
spanish= peasants bad-managed, who never fought on the sea, just on earth. so unexperienced.
yes britons, you had a very meritorian victory, full of glory and honor, muaajajjajajajajajajaja, the battle was peasants, and gays french baguettes against an armada prepared perfectly to fight on the sea, ojjoojo, pure honor, DONT MAKE ME LAUGH, my intention was be very ironic, XDDDDXDDDXDD. you need to make a square with the name of BLAS DE LEZO Y OLABARRIETA.
In the Independence war, but that is not what I'm talking about, the USA would beat the British quite hard if they would get war now. The British navy is hardly anything impressive.
i think you'll find it was the French and other nations, it wasn't a big american uprising like the americans like to think it was. in comparison to the amount of troops helping them there was only a handfull of americans
I don't even care. Anyways, the American Revolution was a start for all uprisings in all colonies. There is nothing left for the European countries, just accept that we aren't the large countries we once were. Just look at your history and be proud of what you accomplished for it will never happen again. Unless we start colonizing other planets :D
Haha what makes it better is that we beat france and spain in one go! They couldnt beat us then and they cant beat us now lol. Well maybe at football :(
The true power and might of the English fleet is unquestionable and unmatched and because Spain was bullied into this battle, I'm sure the Spanish would prefer to have lost to the world dominant Navy than to have been over ruled by a French fool.
I clearly mean Spanish, the Spanish didn't bully the French into battle it was Napolean who bullied Spain into it and also i meant Spanish when i said they would rather lose to an unstoppable force than to some Frog.
Wtf are you on? I know my own histroy! You're American you know nothing! It was a combined French and Spanish navy of which the French commanded and took control of the Spanish fleet!
So there for, Spanish commanders and officers and sailors were present at the battle, however, albiet under French command, the Spanish fleet was still present!
I bet you don't even know where Cape Trafalgar is, i bet you don't even know where Spain is and i bet you couldn't point to Europe on a map! Typical American!
The Battle Of Trafalgar layout:
Commanders : Horatio Nelson, 1st Viscount Nelson (British) Pierre de Villeneuve (french)# Federico Gravina (Spanish)
Strength:
Britain: 27 ships of the line and 6 others. France: 18 ships of the line and 8 others.
Lol shut up you yank twat, you barely have any history of your own so i don't know wtf your yapping on about. I've done this in school and this is my major hobby learning about British history so i think you should get YOUR facts right mate. Typical American really aren't you? Think you know everything yet know shit all...
Why do i think you're a yank? Because your profile says USA clever shit. check you name, what IGFLERHGELKJG is a language now is it? Lol i probably know more about American history than you, probably know more about general history than you as is evident that you didn't even knew that the Spanish took part in the Battle Of Trafalgar hahaha lol what a pissing joke! You ARE a joke! ha you make me ill.
no se puede dejar que maricones como los franceses dirijan un ejército, y más aún cuando nosotros teníamos almirantes como Hidalgo de Cisneros, Churruca, etc.
Some words are not appropriate when the matter is the sea and the brave seamen of both factions. Respet, please. Nelson and Gravina where brave seamen, honor them when you talk. Long live Britannia and Spain.
U mean the same spanish who inflicted the very first ground defeat to napoleon in Bailen?
The same who blow away thousands of english and holland soldiers with few power, those?
Get your facts right dude the main problem of spain during his history was incompetent leaders and a strong religious power, but where the very best army with Los Tercios and later fought bravely agaisnt Napoleon with the priceless English support.
Ok he was standing on the bridge of the ship the whole time and had his ship leading the whole left squadron. When a french ship is about to board you, i think it would have done him better to have those other two amendments.
funny part is....there were Americans serving with Nelson at Trafalgar.
Many Marines, some whom were impressed as sailors too.

I don't see why people are still arguing about the American Revolution. The UK and USA are good allies now, not enemies. Everyone won.
