Hi, I also owned beautiful piece of SL-M3 some time ago. I also bought it from Japan for approx $800 :) Now it's in living room of my good friend to whom I sold it. Reason? After long search I bought most beautiful Technics turntable, my dream, absolutely stunning Technics SL-110 with the early and most beautiful version of SME3009 II arm. Both are in 100% mint condition and you can see them in my youtube video called:

I found this model brand new in the box at a Pawn Shop a few years ago and they wanted $50. They did not take cash so I ran to the nearest ATM. When I got back 30 minutes later it was GONE! They sold it! I was so upset! Never saw one again until your video!
