From what I've read about Razer's products, it seems they put style ahead of build quality. Maybe like an Italian car? Looks nice but is tempermental and develops problems that it really ought not to. It's a shame because they look like they ought to be good.

@Edvardas96 Your product must've been damaged. I've been using an Imperator for a lot of time and trust me, it's awesome. The Mamba and the Imperator are basically the same. Same dpi, same acceleration, same inches per sec, 3.5 laser sensor. Only difference being Mamba looks awesomer and its a hybrid. But I personally think it's way too overpriced. It's like almost twice the cost of the Imperator. So it's up to you. If you're not a pro gamer, look up the Death Adder. It's simple yet efficient.

Now i know why the price is so high, cuz of that bullet-proof box rite there! Anyway, I was considering the Mamba or 5k as a new mouse for FPS games, now ive made up my mind! I don't want the wire mess every 14 hours of gameplay, looks like a badass mouse tho, but I think I'll go for the 5k, even tho its a bit old in the market :)

Some people say its to fast but how you use it is raise the mouse speed to its fastest then go to mouse setting under W7 and adjust the speed :D 5600dpi

I don't know if anyone mentioned this yet, but I got my mamba last night and realized why the wire is so hard to pull out of the mouse... there's a switch next to it that you have to slide to the right in order to take the wire out. The mouse latches onto the wire to hold it in place. I must say that its very comfortable to hold. Also I watched this video to figure out how to put the battery in, haha!

My Razer mamba is a pice of shit. the rubber on both sides come off after like 2 months of playing -.- . Had to Glue them back on . And the buttoms have started to mess with me when im playing , A bad mouse for a bad price. Gamers don't buy this !!! Go for the SteelSeries XAI Laser.. its 10 times better and ½ of the price !! Nice mouse however the battery lasts less than a full day (after having left it on it's docking station overnight). I'm a bit torn between this and the Microsoft X8...the form factor and options for the Razer are awesome but the "lag" I experience every now and again (when using wirelessy) make it a bit of a worry. Using it wired to it's USB cable is cool...but I paid a fair amount for the wireless option.

I bought it assuming with a high price tag comes quality. Unfortunately with hindsight i wouldnt get it and probably stick with a logitech. My main complaint is that my mamba dies once in a while and i have to replug it everyday. Wireless works great but with a short battery it means you have to switch it back to wired mode every now and then and this physical process is made difficult by the unfriendly plugs. Could be better. My next mouse wont be a Razor.

Yeah, the darn box doesn't open to easily... I also had a fair struggle with it. As for when removing the plug from the mouse, instead of pulling on the wire, simply slide it out with you thumb, by placing it on the bottom part and pushing... It comes out with an ease ( no idea why you're mumbling around and destroying the wire ).

This is the old version of the Razer Mamba, if you look at the bottom of them, it doesn't have the teflon ring around the sensor, without the teflon ring, the sensor flies and actually has a horrible z-axis problem. The newer ones that are sent out don't have that rainbowish color on the dock, and doesn't have that shiny ring around the sensor, instead has a black teflon ring and switching between the wired and wireless is easier as it's not as the cable is not as tight anymore

I have this mouse too, it's a really nice solid mouse.

Great for gaming, or for just every day use. I've had it for about a year now and the only deterioration on it is that the scroll wheel squeaks a little bit now.
