For anyone who's actually played this game enough, the enemy shooting at your team and ignoring you is BS. If they can see you and have LoS, even if all of the other guys are closer and easier to shoot at, the enemy will always shoot at you first. That part of the commentary was nonsense. I assume this guy played this level about a million times to get it just right.

Those of you who don't already know, play this level on arcade mode with super reload if you're really having that much trouble.

does anyone want to help me beat this fucking part on insane, i am litrrally losing my mind here. I get fucking stomped every 2 seconds while im going ape shit trying to shoot these stalks' fuck zits and all the while my stupid team runs up and trys to melee lambent drudges who one shot down em with the gnasher. Also the lambent has a fucking habit of only going after me. This is like literally fighting off a Hun invasion force trying to give you a rim job with a cactus. my gt is abyssal warlord

Man this level is fucking impossible with computer controlled teammates. I don't know what the hell he's talking about with good A.I., they can't kill a fucking thing. I've probably done this part about 40 times now and every fucking time I get overrun. Plus they never take out the pods for me so I don't fucking know...

It's totally luck based... >.<

@Sgreenenov13 I managed to beat it eventually, but not the way you probably think.

The trick with this level is to just hang back (and I mean back at the beginning of the chapter where the little alien things drop out of the ceiling before you go out into the open area) and let the computer deal with everything. As long as they don't all go down, they will take care of everything for you...

It takes fucking ages because the computer is retarded and slow, but they'll do it eventually...

@Sgreenenov13 You can, you just gotta hang back all the way at the beginning of this part. They rush, but the NPCs do a reasonable enough job of holding them back. You really only have to worry about the little jumping monkey pricks, they can get by, but if you're sitting back at the beginning of this area, you have a long straight shot to take them out before they get anywhere near you.

The only problem is if all the NPCs go down, then you need to get to one to get them up, but they will...

It's boring as fuck, don't get me wrong, but I'll take boring over doing this part over and over again. I must have done this fucking part 50 times before I tried the "just sit back and let the computer do all the work" method, and even that took me a couple tries due to them all going down and everything falling apart.

This was the hardest part for me. Second hardest would have to be the part with the barge circling you shooting rockets. Fucking annoying!

There was a few parts on insane later on that you have to do this and just let the computer deal with because if you get anywhere near the grubs and lambent and shit they will basically be gunning for you the whole time. I can't remember off the top of my head which specific parts, but I know there was a few others...

Good luck, this was definitely the hardest one in the series on insane. GoW 1 & 2 were nothing compared to this damned game...

quick tip if you avoid all the ash people and dont destroy them you can get into the shop in griffin tower and equip your team with boomshots

I prefer the Hammerburst to the Retro, or even the Classic Lancer, for destroying stalk pods. Sure, it doesn't have the ammo capacity, but active reloaded, it does a lot more damage.

I did it by staying inside the cable car station and waiting for my dying teammates to crawl to me, then we all push back the lambent...then repeat...i didn't destroy a single stalk pod

And btw...if you're playing with people, not the bot teammates, then yes you're correct they don't go down they just die and that makes everybody restart from checkpoint. I know what I'm talkin' bout noob.
