That's what I'd like to know. It's quicker to use the normal "Add Call" button. I don't know why they'd keep this feature and hide it deeper when they can just remove it, so it seems like there's some other purpose.
whrn you had holded it and see the send button, type in a number of a friend and the send, and you will invite him to the cakll so you have 3 persons conversation.:)
dude i got an iphone 4 , well ders facetime application or button or icon ..... there's nuthing called face time in my iphone .... can u help me out wit it ???? dis is my id robins.joseph@gmail.com , i tired everything but cant find it out ... actually its not there truthfully... n i dont wanna jailbreak my phone .... can we buy facetime from apple ???
I'm not sure if you're serious. For most people, the FaceTime icon is already there on the call screen. It was missing from the call screen when I first got my iPhone 4; probably because I restored from backup that was created on a 3GS. I looked in Settings and found an option to show FaceTime in the call screen. This video was about a hidden "Send" button.
It's perfectly normal for the speaker button to change when you have a Bluetooth headset. That's not what the video is about. The video is about the hidden "Send" button.
Yeah, but the "hidden" Send button has been there since long before iOS4. It actually was easier to reveal before iOS4, because you didn't have to tap the screen. It still confuses me that it's important enough to keep it and hide it even deeper, but there's not a clear use for it.
Now that I think about it, I wonder if it's accessible without a SIM during an "emergency" call? It might allow a 3-way conversation without a SIM card.
maybe its for fun? ppl always like finding new things...llike easter eggs in games...it keeps them interested to find more so u keep using the product
Im not sure but I think it has to do with Y2K... I mean 2012. Its a space alien thought jammer so you dont need to bother with that 1980's non green technology of waisting aluminium foil which is obviously to jam their Dream-Catcher technology.
Instead of saying iOS 4, you should have said iPhone. The iPod touches run on iOS and you cant make calls on that. not trying to be mean, but that small error sort of confused me, especially since I have iOS 4 on my iPod touch.
It's actually for the Feds to recover past info your every conversation, email, text, gps times places, just stuff like that. So here we carry there bug right in our pocket. Just like on star ! Ha ha ha
If you press the 'send' button it will activate the timers of multiple nuclear missiles set to detonate all over the world killing billions of people. That's why Apple is trying to keep it hidden.
A bit of chance + I'm always poking around. My iPhone 4 had face sensor problems and weird things would happen and I'd try to reproduce it while wearing a headset. If you drag your finger off of the Mute button, but keep your finger on the screen..it behaves as if you held your finger on Mute the whole time (and puts the call on hold).
@pozzdonnz That's covered in the video description. You can dial a number and tap "Send" to initiate a three-way call...so it works the same as using the "Add Call" feature. I'm sure there's some other purpose that I can't figure out (why would Apple keep the feature, but hide it?).
The only thing that doesn't make sense about the "left-over code" theory is this: Apple deliberately hid it *deeper* when iOS4 was released (iOS3 didn't require you to tap 4 times).
I wish I knew the name of the song. I think I let YouTube pick one at random or based on the length of the video. Apparently, once you've picked a song from YouTube's selections, there's no way to see what was picked after the fact.
@cauerego I think the music is just too obscure. That's probably why YT was able to get a license for it.
It's a shame that people who license their music to YT don't get any exposure. YT should update it so that, when you select a track for your video through AudioSwap, it should add soundtrack license info after the description.
@jevansturner that's true... but if it ressembles something, soundhound should bring at least something similar! :P and yeah, some artists don't like exposure all that much, but I doubt there's no artist from that YT tool who wouldn't enjoy at least having his/her name out there.
@jevansturner Shit i remember when it was midomi and it was free. Since I got it years ago and changed names, it's definitely improved its UI and database and increased in price, but I'd pay 5 for it any day if I needed to...thank god for free updates though cuz 5 is a pack of smokes lol
That doesn't make sense because there's already an "+Add Call" button. Also, the person on the other end can hear you dialing digits.
There must be some other purpose, or Apple software engineers wouldn't have tried to hide it even deeper with iOS4 when they could have just removed it.
@jevansturner i performed the samme key presses as in the video & when i hit send it called the # ...maybe its built into the dialer on purpose because some phone systems wont recognize the dtmf from the dialer so that feature is there for people who use such systems ...not so much hidden as it is there for people familiar with it ...watch my vids
Nice finally one I've never seen idk I think it might be used for like a back up command if like it says press 2 to go to blah and you press it but Its not going through as sent so it uses that?
Idk also on the dial part of the phone app if you like hold down 2 or 3 it spools and then says error performing service request unknown
The only "use" I can think of so far is to allow the other person to hear the number you're dialing. The person on the other end can record the conversation and have proof of the the number that you dialed.
