Well long ago, when I lived in South Yarra as a German migrant. Now back in Germany I am longing for the old days in Australia. (pardon my mistakes)
At many traffic signalled intersections they have their own special signals. AFAIK are never put in a position of having to 'give way' at uncontrolled intersections.

nice vids rod...you're right, trams get right of way at uncontrolled intersections but must proceed with caution (i am a driver..)

When the trams cross a main road, do they have to wait for traffic or do they have a signal?
