  • Not the way I see it. The BBB has no legal authority to do anything. All they can do is ask someone to stop. The only way for others to know what is going on with a specific company is to look up that company on the BBB. People don't bother making complaints with the BBB any more. If they do, the BBB hides them or ignores them completely most of the time. The only thing the BBB does now is sell memberships which puts a tiny spot light on good companies (who pay up!) while ignoring all the bad.

  • BBB is nothing more than old time mob paid protection.... WITHOUT the protection.

As a PAYING member I have made several complaints about a company scamming consumers while simultaneously attacking my services. (easily verifiable) They will do NOTHING and still list the company (who pays them NOTHING) with a spot free, shining AA rating.

Meanwhile consumers are being scammed and have no idea...

    Kudos to whoever hacked them!

  • youre a jackass. businesses scam customers out of trillions a year---and yet, u pick on the better business bureau----nice, very nice, --jackass.

  • As I said, the BBB is there to collect fees. Sure, they go after the big fish but the image they put out of protecting consumers is exaggerated. The protection they provide (from my experience) has been lazy and inaccurate. They do just enough to keep the image when they COULD be and CLAIM to be so much more. Too many golf games, too many coffee breaks. They don't dish out what they advertise. Where can I complain??? The B-BBB? Right back at ya bub.

  • The Better Business Bureau is the watchdog on the porch---if you take away that deterent (and you think there is alot of scams now)--take away that watchdog and consumer confidence plummets which effects everyone. you, as a business owner should know the implications of lost consumer confidence. in essense, you are bashing an organization that YOU started 96 years ago. You as a business owner, started and founded the BBB---its YOUR organization. you founded the BBB to protect your industry!

  • CONT-its like youre bashing yourself when you discredit the bbb. u wanted the bbb to make consumers feel confident in your industry. as a business-owner like yourself, u would not be as sucessful, if the BBB wasnt doing its job all day "policing" all industries. in other words, EVERYTIME the bbb warns a consumer about the scams in YOUR industry their money is steered back to a legitmate, locally well established company. so, get more involved & babble less about what u do not understand, get it?

  • nevermind SFG911---after looking thru your video collection--i see that youre a weirdo----so im sorry that i ever responded to you. g'day.

  • LOL.... Thanks for the compliment.... what a nice person!

  • Great! I have a scam in my industry I want to report... Too bad the BBB made it almost impossible to even make my report in the first place, then ignored it... then when I made my own review on the BBB exposing the scam (100% honest and easily verifiable) they deleted it within 12 hours. When I called to complain I was told I needed to contact a lawyer... to protect consumers against a scam from another company!?! Is this MY responsability? What exactly IS the BBB's job?
