  • I love this song! I was thrilled when I first discovered it on Radio Dismuke - it's used in a wonderful film called Bad Girl (1931). one of my favourites, which is on here as well: youtube.com/watch?v=AKKVEMyU2Tw&feature=related. I highly recommend it (it was also an Oscar-winner), and the song plays over the end credits, orchestral only, which sounds beautiful.

  • Well, I've learned it sometimes pays to be nosey! I just "found" another song written by grandfather, M.K.Jerome, that I didn't know existed! Unlike "Nanette", I don't even have the sheet on this! And this never shows-up on our ASCAP --was this written for a movie? Joan Jasmyn, who did the lyric, was M.K.'s partner for years! Later on at WB, my grandfather would write for "Casablanca", "Yankee Doodle Dandy", "Hollywood Canteen" and others. He was a great composer, and a very nice man! R.J.
