this was the first 411vm i ever got, actually i think this and santo cruz "ammo II" i got around the same time...this is so nostalgic for me. i miss being a kid :(
this was my first skate vid I miss these days skaters are pussies now a days we used to all kick back at skate shops trying to live the dream now they listen to emo, wear girl jeans, and cry about everything we need to bring back punk skaters and the sexy ass chix that used to come watch us skate and occasionally attempt to skate themselves
@DcEvoIX even the skate shoes now suck some look good but we had the shoes that were built for skating the original vallely etnies, osiris d3's, all muska circa's, the original rodrigo teixeira es' ect. those shoes were stylish and didn't rip after 1 day of skating especially the vallely v1's they lasted me years of hard skating
This reminds me of so many great times... I lived in ohio ata the time and now I live in California where dreams come true. Now Im friends with a few pros I grew up watching...what a small world it is. thank You Skateboarding
This is my favourite time in skateboarding, back when everyone didn't wear tight pants, nearly every video was worth watching..even though I just started a year or so after this..is this like 2000-02? That's the shit right there. That was one hell of a montage, heaps of good skaters. It made me smile, too when MJ ended it, he's the shit.
I started skating around 1997, and man 1997-2001 was perfect. After 2001 skateboarding got HUGE, skate stoppers were invented, and spots got blown out. There was a huge surge of annoying "can you kickflip?" kids crowding spots. Plus, I think the new 411 format is CRAP compared to how they used to be. I have issues 30-45 on VHS, and any one of them blows the new ones out of the water.
I completely agree with both of you guys....these WERE the best years in skating...just a totally different vibe back then. Kids these days are so wack...with their $100 plaid shirts and skytop circas...pheffff....LAME!!
I rather wounder what happend to Phil Mackie? And that pole jame bakfoot flip out by Gary Smith was sick, I was hoping to see that shit in slo-mo. But whatever
