As for Michael, what he hears out of Sonny's mouth is a far, far, cry from seeing him do damage, or knowing the damage Sonny does is because HE was "paying his mother back" for being involved with Shawn (which is absolutely none if his business anyway). Over the years watching some of the stunts he's pulled, even while calling judgement down on others, had made me like him considerably less. With Carly and the custody battle, I chose Carly's side for one reason only. She repeatedly tried to get Jax to go for shared custody. She could have so easily gone for full and used dirty tricks to get it. She didn't.

Most that do leave or get let go. I've seen it happen it too many soaps. The most vocal was Lucas and Nathan on DOOL. We see were they are today. Also Alcarzar, ex-Carly, Ric, Nickolas and Jax all did interviews about their dislike of their character direction and none are presently on the show. I see a pattern.

He tried to make Michael look a danger to Joss. He tried to get Morgan to testify against his father/brother. Then, when he lost, he kidnapped Joss. He accuses Sonny/Jason of doing whatever it takes to get what they want. Didn't he do that? How is he any better a parent? How is he teaching better lessons?
@brockenberry4x He lost legal custody. He refused to accept it and took Joss. That is kidnapping. If Carly had wanted to, she could have pressed charges and Jax would have gone to prison. That's one for Carly. The only "trick" she pulled was letting Sonny help. She didn't ask. He promised. She had no way of knowing he would use drugs. Carly tried over and over and over again to get Jax to agree to joint custody. It was his stubbornness that cost him custody, not Carly.

@brockenberry4x Jax did file for divorce. Alexis has the paperwork. After Jax went missing, Alexis wanted Carly to sign on the dotted line because she didn't want Carly to be able to claim widow status. They had a big fight about it.
Agree. If I were a man, I would not want to be in a marriage where I was always third to my wife's ex-husband and male best-friend. I don't understand how people can make excuses for Carly. "Well, Jax knew going in that Carly would always put them first." It doesn't matter... once you get married, that should change.
You can't expect a lot of people to change those relationships though, especially if those relationships are fundamental to how that person grew up and their identity.
There's a difference between someone saying they'll change or trying to change and Carly. Everyone knows her. She clearly was NOT going to let her relationships with Sonny and Jason go, and her attitude is not necessarily right or wrong. The destroyed marriage was both Jax and Carly's fault. Jax made his fair share of mistakes.
@deadmetrix Jax did make his fair share of mistakes, but when I look back on it, Carly really should have been a little more compromising, both of them should have been. It was so hard for me to watch their marriage fall apart, because I honestly thought that they could get through anything. They got through Jerry, Carly's infidelity with Sonny, etc. It's a shame, but I do have to say, Carly's inability to keep Sonny and Jason a little at bay, is what destroyed them.
@ForeverErica That is a huge reason, of course, but Jax has known how much Sonny and Jason mean to Carly...forever. They've known each other for a long time. It's just weird that he didn't see it becoming more of a problem later on. Carly is extremely stubborn. And Jax has emotionally cheated on Carly at least 2 or 3 times, and slept with Kate once as a way to get back at her. Don't forget Jax has always been in competition with Sonny. So yeah, that's why it's both of their faults.

i only dislike Carly when she is in Sam or Brenda face, and the reason she dislikes them is because Jason and sonny will chose Sam and Brenda over her when it comes down to it, especially with jasam and that does not sit too well with her, with that said, jax was not a stranger to Carly's life when he married her, he always knew the dept of Carly devotion/relationship with sonny/Jason, so for him to have that much problem with it after the fact or to have it be a deal breaker is beyond me, cont.

Carly doesn't even know for certain that Jax DID survive Sonny's meddling. But she knew what would happen if she shared that information. Over the years watching some of the stunts he's pulled, even while calling judgement down on others, had made me like him considerably less. With Carly and the custody battle, I chose Carly's side for one reason only. She repeatedly tried to get Jax to go for shared custody. She could have so easily gone for full and used dirty tricks to get it. She didn't.

Also Alcarzar, ex-Carly, Ric, Nickolas and Jax all did interviews about their dislike of their character direction and none are presently on the show. I see a pattern.

That's one for Carly. The only "trick" she pulled was letting Sonny help. She didn't ask. He promised. She had no way of knowing he would use drugs. Carly tried over and over and over again to get Jax to agree to joint custody. It was his stubbornness that cost him custody, not Carly.

@brockenberry4x Jax did file for divorce. Alexis has the paperwork. After Jax went missing, Alexis wanted Carly to sign on the dotted line because she didn't want Carly to be able to claim widow status. They had a big fight about it.

Agree. If I were a man, I would not want to be in a marriage where I was always third to my wife's ex-husband and male best-friend. I don't understand how people can make excuses for Carly. "Well, Jax knew going in that Carly would always put them first." It doesn't matter... once you get married, that should change.

You can't expect a lot of people to change those relationships though, especially if those relationships are fundamental to how that person grew up and their identity.
There's a difference between someone saying they'll change or trying to change and Carly. Everyone knows her. She clearly was NOT going to let her relationships with Sonny and Jason go, and her attitude is not necessarily right or wrong. The destroyed marriage was both Jax and Carly's fault. Jax made his fair share of mistakes.

@deadmetrix Jax did make his fair share of mistakes, but when I look back on it, Carly really should have been a little more compromising, both of them should have been. It was so hard for me to watch their marriage fall apart, because I honestly thought that they could get through anything. They got through Jerry, Carly's infidelity with Sonny, etc. It's a shame, but I do have to say, Carly's inability to keep Sonny and Jason a little at bay, is what destroyed them.

@ForeverErica That is a huge reason, of course, but Jax has known how much Sonny and Jason mean to Carly...forever. They've known each other for a long time. It's just weird that he didn't see it becoming more of a problem later on. Carly is extremely stubborn. And Jax has emotionally cheated on Carly at least 2 or 3 times, and slept with Kate once as a way to get back at her. Don't forget Jax has always been in competition with Sonny. So yeah, that's why it's both of their faults.

@deadmetrix I agree. For me, once he paid the mediator off and was willing to call Michael unsafe for Joss, not to mention have Morgan testify to it, Jax crossed the line from his fair share to more than. I know what Sonny did was just as bad if not worse than what Jax did, but Carly didn't know or approve of what Sonny did. I can't stand the wench:) but she didn't know . . .

As much as I hate Carly and prefer Jax a million times over, I want them to end up together. I'm not feeling this Carly and Shawn thing. He's way too damaged and she's way too pushy.

@kellixiongstyle I'm such a CarJax fan, but now that I can't stand Carly, I think it's best that Jax get her to sign those divorce papers and get on with his own life. My heart of hearts still wants to see them end up together, but YES, Carly IS too pushy, and territorial, just not with her husband, the man she threw to the waist-side to make sure he wouldn't take Joss away from her.
I advocated for Carly and Shawn very early on, but now it's just becoming repetitive.
