This is super. i have fond memories of Max Bygraves and his son Andrew doing this turn in the 1960's, in variety, where i worked, and also on television Don't worry though, this rendering is fantastic and totallly superior.

I was a N.A. at an assisted living center where I used to work at for almost two years. And while I was there, there was one resident in particular that stood out for me. She was 94 at the time, and was this small little Ukranian woman who used to be a ballroom dancer, and had alzheimers. She never remembered anyone, not even her own family, but she would remember me, and would dance with me while we sang this song together...

when i was little, we used to play this song at family get togethers and had a dance to this song. it was a tradition for the longest time but now that the people who basicaly ran it passed away, we dont do it anymore. i miss those times :\

@kemptonjones My Dad also sang this to me. I was in the music room at my house tonight and for some reason I started to hum this song. First time I've heard it in a recording also the first time I've heard it since my Dad passed away 1999. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. (You still sing it the best Dad!!)
