A few years ago I was made redundant for a company I’d been with for about 9months. The bosses had been really shitty about it, lying to the workforce about how they’d tried everything to keep the company afloat- while just selling it off to a competitor to fill their pockets.

With most people gone & everything in chaos, I altered the employee spreadsheet records to say I’d been working there for 23 years! Consequently, my severance was enough to pay my mortgage, pension & have 2 years off!

Wonder if injured workers can hire these folks to catch IME doctors fudging exam results and coming up with ridiculous opinions? HA. These are the kind of guys who conduct surveillance for 8 weeks and come up with 4 minutes of video footage of the claimant going to the store to get bread & milk, after which a shady IME doc decides based on the "damaging" footage that the claimant can return to work. If this happens to you, get a worker's comp attorney and fight it out...

As an injured worker this is the the most fraudulent misrepresentative video I have ever watched!. WCBs u shud b ashamed; U KNOW thousands of us know YOU are the sooooo very often fraudulent party. That is good news for sure. I beleve that considerin all WCB's operate the same way, committing the same crimes in Canada and the U.S. all of them should be up on RICO charges in the U.S. and Gang charges in Canada. ALL WCB's are racketeering organizations denying claims for no other reaon than they can. These insurance companies shgould never be allowed to take the medical and legal rights rom a person. Maybe I should make an ad showing documents that an injred worker is totally disabled from employment. Then having the boss withhold that document and sending the worker back to heavy labour. Then when the employee cannot stand the pain any longer and quits to see his doctor the board cuts him off. Happens all the time. Did to me too.

It costs L&I thousands of dollars more to fight the claim then to pay for the surgery and help the injured worker get back to work and to re-train them if needed. This is what the system was set up to do, but scammers do work for the state too, and unfortunatley they inforce the wrongful decisions.

I'm 6'2 and 170Lbs, My knees were damaged on the job+ my neck+my back, I have witness statements too. The Benifit of a IME doctor lieing is they are hired by workers comp to lie!! that is their job! Happens to every workers comp claim. They are know here as "IME Whores" They only write nasty lies on paper to try to close a claim.

The only way I know how to not let the claim close is to schedule a doctor appointment for 1 day after your IME date.

Yes.And the only reason these IME doctors get away with lying, fraud, slander, is because under American and Canadan workers comp law the doctor has a get out o jail free card. It is called "exclusve remedy" in the U.S. and "historic compromise" in Canada. Even if we know for sure their doctors are committing fraud we can't take them to court. Our rights as "injured workers" are severely limited. To the point we have no rights.

What makes your Premiums increase is when Workers comp doesn't treat the serious injured people and lies an says they are fixed and stable, they go back to work just to be easily injured again, and having to file a new claim! L&I needs to man up, and care for injured workers an pay to get their injuries fixed! Like myself! I have 2 ortho surgeons that say I need new knees, an I have waited 3 yrs! an they still refuse to pay to get them fixed, and I had witnesses to my injuries!

If you have two bad knees, you are probably grossly overweight and don't care about your body anyways. Tell me something "Multihurts",what would be the benefit of the doctors "lying" by telling people you are ok? The would lose money this way. Also, most workers don't follow their doctors restrictions and do things to re-injure themselves. We have people at work filing workers comp for papercuts.

1 percent of all claims filed are fraud. out of thousands. What makes your ins increase is because L&I closes a claim early forcing the worker back on the job they were just injured from in result just to be injured worse and having to file a new claim! That is what makes your ins rates higher! If L&I would Man Up and pay for treatment when needed, you would start to see your rates lower.

How do you know they are frauds? Just beause you "catch" a claimant riding a bicycle to the store does not mean he/she is physically able to do their job which may be of a very different nature and extremely more physically demanding. Most of the tapes used to deny claims are no where near the stress and tolerance levels demanded by the claimants job. Investigators should stay out of deciding medical fitness simply because they are not qualified to make a decision.

Also I would like to point out that it is almost impossible for a claimant to commit fraud. Medical evidence rules. The claimant can do their job or they can't. Investigators and WCB employees such as adjudicators and case managers confuse a simple issue. They also are not medically qualified.

Are you a doctor? Did you see any job description and compared that to video tape of the alleged fraudulent injured worker? Was there an independent party to confirm the denial, or uphold the physicians opinion based on sound science and medical evidence? WCB's commit fraud 10,000 times more than someone claiming to be injured and unable to perform their job duties. Only WCB's fraud is the direct cause of the pain and suffering, loss of all property and savings,and eventual death by suicide .

If someone is lying, and cheating the system with a faked injury, charge them, to the fullest extent of the law. BUT, don't treat every injured individual as a lying, cheating scum-bag. To WCB, every claim is assumed to be fraudulent, and forced to prove other wise. They pay professionals to evaluate the injuries, and then pay no attention to the findings, unless, they say what they want them to--that you have another lying worker on your hands.

There is great difficulty doing some actions and no pain doing others. Do some research on back pain sufferers, about 85% of the population. In my work comp case the claims adjuster illegally began a four year covert videotaping campaign against me while ignoring dozens of doctors reports and recommendations for spinal surgery. He claims to have a major spinal injury and cannot work at all yet every winter he goes out and plows.
