Yesterday in my grade 9 IB history class (in Canada), we did a short 'compare your answers to find similar people' survey. Out of the 20 people in my class, four said they were atheists. There were various other religions, but the largest group in one religion was around nine people. That, is a very close amount, i've never been so proud of my country and the youth in it.
Man that priest in Part three - - - he is one hell of an Arrogant Self righteous bastard - - - his "Faith" was challenged, and he reacted exactly the same way that all people like him react - - - with attacking the reason, and I can bet, that he even don't believe the crap he is preaching 80 million dollars for religious building, money that would better served for charity . . .
It's so damn obvious that god is the insane idea(some all-powerful, All knowing being) that were the rantings of a mentally ill man (Jesus). Governments loved the idea that they could control to some extent what people did or thought. there is no god. god doesn't exist. when laws are made or taxes spent on people go to prison or are scamed(respectively), yes, it does affect me protested, got my sign broke and a nuisance ticket to say NO to a church. with tax money.

It is relieving and actually quite heartwarming, to see a bunch of organized rational and freethinking Americans getting together. Since I found out about Richard Dawkins, I have realized that a big part of the American people are tired of religion, and has become rational individuals, who questions the American religious society!

Please don't cite Behe's work. There are not demonstrated "irreducibly complex" structures, there are well accepted accounts on how these things could have evolved.

Furthermore "truth" is dependant on perspective as well. For example: If a flea could write, it might say, "A dog is a HUGE creature." yet a Giraffe would argue, " Actually a dog is quite small." ALso human sacrifice was to keep the world form ending, so the pagans belived. If thats what they belive, I can see why they did it. And Islam actually gives more rights to women than in the west.

It's time we said "no, you dont have the right to believe what you want". Some particular beliefs (such as christianity for example) have been proven to be violent, evil and corruptive to any human society and should be outlawed and treated forcefully, just as with drug addiction.

The thing is..i dont think there really is good & evil, right and wrong. people will say "it's wrong to kill." yet..most dont think its wrong to pour bleach on mold. Its just your perspective. There could be an alien race out there..so far advanced & evolved that they see us the way we see mold. They would have no quarell about killing us. Because from their perspective we are just a basic life form.Therfore right & wrong are dependant on perspective. Does this make sense to anyone?

Furthermore "truth" is dependant on perspective as well. For example: If a flea could write, it might say, "A dog is a HUGE creature." yet a Giraffe would argue, " Actually a dog is quite small." Both of them are telling the "truth" from their Limited perspective. Therefore it is really impossible to know the truth..if there is any. Truth, right and wrong, they are all dependant on perspective.

What I wonder is, how can religion be evil. Religion ahs done me personally no ahrm. In fact, I feel worse when I didn't have a strong influence of God in my life. No when I am anger, he clams me, when I am sad, he comforts me, when I am happy, I thakn him, and feel even better, when I feel as though he isn't, he shows me he is. My life has been so much better emotionaly due to God, how can such a thing be evil?

Well an atheist uses the word evil quite differently.
For me "evil is the absence of empathy".
Its good that you feel happy in your religion, but for me you must keep it out of science, because it isnt science, out of politics which is very dangerous, dont teach it to my kids, or discriminate against me or others.

But your definition of evil is not what religion is. In fact religion IS the founder of empathy and compasion. But more on that later, I agree keep it out of politics and do not discrimite someone for their religion, as long as they don't try and tell me I am stupid for having a religion. Maybe thats why a lot of people don't like atheists, for that very good reason. But you kind of have to teach it to children. Religion is part of history, you can't censor it, and I will teach it to my kids.

A race isnt an argument for how to live your life. Race is not automatically saying AIDS is bad but condoms are worse. Race isnt responsible for hitting the wall at 400 mph. Actually yes, race has it's own culture and identity, so does religion. Also the is these people in Afrika have AIDS, I think they should have the common sense not to have sex, but other than, that the Church doesn't actually say that condoms are bad, they simply discourage sex for pleasure, but only for having babies, thus, condoms are for sex for pleasure, thus they are bad. Atheists often say that as ammo agaisnt Christianity, they are very ignorant to what the church REALLY opposes.

A race can have many cultures and religions, national borders are no certainty. Look at the Sunni and Shea, 2 religions and cultures within Iraq. My father was a Christian Iraqi.
The Catholic church forbids condom use, period, and this has caused the death of 100s of thousands.

History tells us peoples places are better at some time than others.
Women in Britain were better off before the Romans invaded and the Christianity of the dark ages. Women were better of with Islam in the sixth century than before, but that was the 6th century.
History gives us great lessons.
But I am also concerned about now.

Cutting off clits is done one religious grounds in many places, including Saudi Arabia, along with women not being allowed to drive on principles set down by religious leaders. How can that be "more rights", in Pakistan a women's word is worth less than a mans in a court of law, that is an interpretation of Islam.

For the final time, the church forbids condom use because they allow a perosn to have sex without the worries of haveing children, but the church teaches that sex should only occur for the SOLE purpose of having children, which condoms obvisouly were mde to keep from happening. ALso human sacrifice was to keep the world form ending, so the pagans belived. If thats what they belive, I can see why they did it. And Islam actually gives more rights to women than in the west.
