@John27346 Alpacas are not meat animals. They're wool animals. They live happy lives (though they probably don't like being shaved) and are generally treated well. They are not for slaughter.

sorry have to say that was rubbish, when I see a title like 'Baby alpaca chases dog' I want the beast to be chasing the dog at full speed for there to be at least some hint of aniexty in the dog, instead it just wanders across a meadow and the dog isn't bothered in the slightest. Cute animal but rubbish video.

I grew up seeing those animals out my door every week, my aunt had one, they get pretty aggressive when they are older. But they are still very cute, always wanted my own.

It's all in how you raise the alpaca. The only alpacas that we have at my farm that are rude and "aggressive" (which no alpaca is aggressive by any means - just off-putting) are the ones that we bought from a different farm.

You need to know alot. I have 10 alpacas and 1 was born a few days ago. I suggest you contact a person that lives near you to ask if you can get a little bit of a "lesson". But raising alpacas is nowhere near as easy as dogs or cats. But good luck!
