Chris Nolan should do a little research on the monomyth. I was amazed at how so many stories fell into that structure. Although, I guess that's why his movies are so great. He doesn't (knowingly, at least) base his plots on prewritten patterns.

Since Hitchcock is dead. This guy, Tim Burton and Miyazaki are the 3 most unique and original directors alive. They don't do what they think a director is "supposed" to do they just stay true to the vision in their heads. There are other great directors out there but for "me" those are the 3 where if I watched it for 15 minutes I could tell who it was directed by. All 3 are so important in todays film climate.
