you just got to look at the band...EVERY ONE OF THEM is loving being on that stage(country musics super band right there)says more than words ever could....god bless you waylon
I saw Waylon in concert in southern Maryland around May 2001. He had to be helped as he walked on and off the stage. He waved a long goodbye as he left. I believe his final concert was in July or August 2001.
I do stand corrected. I looked up his final concert tour and you are absolutely right. I was going by the dvd / cd compilation released in 2007 which was titled, "WAYLON & THE WAYMORE BLUES BAND: THE FINAL CONCERT". Turns out that was the highlight concert of that tour. I should have checked this out before posting my last comment. Thanks
This was recorded several years before he died and his last tour.

Does anyone know who the lead guitar player is? I think he is great
Thanks

@boatbuilder1 It's the great Reggie Young, and he is married to the fiddle player in this band, whom he met during this -Waylon's last- tour.

Waylon's final performance was at the Ryman Theatre (formerly known as the Grand Old Opry), in 2000.
