  • Mike Joy: I think Tony Stewart was referring to Dale Sr.'s more famous "pass in the grass", the one in the All Star Race in 1987.

  • Even though this was the Busch/Nationwide race that year, it's skills like that why he won the 2005 championship. (And unlike Jimmie Johnson, Tony would've won it- whether there was a chase or not.)

  • @JRASCR I'm not forgetting Dale, but sadly as we all know, he's long since passed on. In the WORLD means in the living world bud. Dale is a legend and always will be. I'm not taking anything from that. But as for active drivers in the world, find me one as accomplished and talented as smoke is.

  • Tony did the same thing in the whelen modified series race in New Hampshire in 2006(i was there). He was leading at the time and eventually finished third. It happened in turn 3. I still can't believe he did that to this day.

  • This is the video I point all the Stewart haters too whenever they say tony can't drive a racecar. That was something Earnhardt did first in an IROC race. The biggest difference is, Stewart went on to WIN this race! There is no better overall Driver in the world than Tony Stewart.

  • I knew that he did it in '87, though i did not know he did it in IROC as well

  • 0:06 I bet it scared the crap out of jr

  • heh, i was at this race.except we were out by turn 4. we couldn't believe that he did that when we saw it on the big screen. lol

  • check out iroc xxv

  • ROFL"Thats something Dale Earnardt would do"

  • @flyer2359 There's only one difference: Tony was going much faster than Dale was. If Tony couldn't save it, that'd be a good 12 cars tore up.
