@wellingtonian As an old guy who has owned cars from the 1960s, 70s and 80s and 2000s I can tell you that a lot of this "old car admiration" is nostalgia more than that they were good cars. The cars from this Pontiacs era would rust very fast in the snowy states, you had to replace or re-adjust the ignition points frequently, they were terrible starting in cold weather (carburators), the suspensions were terrible, gas milage was terrible, safety features were non-existant
@inkey2 I would rather drive an old car today. then this new junk. the old cars WERE better. and lasted longer. today's cars are junk before they are paid for.
@Slowscrew8u the one thing i did like about the old cars I owned....like my 65 chevy nova....if it broke down I could almost always get it running enough to get home with just a few wrenches and screw drivers. I love my 2005 mercury sable LE with all leather seats and every option.....but if it ever broke down on me.....forget it
