Nice review :) im not very good at guitar quality but i found a much cheaper guitar (Ibanez GRGR121EX) and simply which one is the best between that and the Ibanez RGR321ex-bk? right now i have a metal favoured starter guitar and ive been playing for about 2 and a half years.

Hey dude! I just got one of these rgr321ex 2 weeks ago! :D Its AMAZING!! I love the pickups on it! Oh and 1 question: The fretboard is rosewood and the neck is maple right?

@ThinkBackNever Yes it's a rosewood fretboard and the neck is a 3pc wizard II neck so it means it's made out of three pieces wich are mapel I believe. You can see where the 3 pieces are forged together. :)

I can't seem to find the battery compartment in mine, mine is the same model as yours, does this thing run on batteries? those INF pickups aren't EMG designed. they're Ibanez's own pickups. older batch of RGR321EX had the EMD designed ones, it's written on the pickup cover.

that is the RGR321 :S, it doesnt come with active pickups the emg designed pickups are passive. but your right it is a stunning guitar for the price, just land some actual emgs in it and you'll be laughing!

hmm... USA compared to China??? There's definately worse guitars than an Ibanez dont get me wrong but there is a HUGE difference in quality and sound. if you want a true metal beast you should invest in a Jackson. They have a lot of the same designesas Ibanez but just WAAAY more upgrades, the wood is better, and so are the pickups. ...go look up some Jacksons i garunteee you'll like em!

Every guitar brand have that. Except maybe PRS but you get the point. Still i like both Jackson and Ibanez. I mostly wanted a Ibanez for its thin neck.

They can be splitted into singel coils. There are 3 different versions of this guitar also. One with emg designed pickups and 5 way switch (this one), One with ''normal'' ibanez pickups and a 3 way switch and one limited edition with one emg pickup and different fret inlays.

Haha no it's not fake... The thing about the emg design is that they look like emgs. If you watch the non emg designed ones the humbuckers looks like 2 single coils put together ( witch a humbucker actually is.) This one has the black metal overlay. I payed 400 euro for it and they even got it on Ibanez homesite for the exact same price. It's still only cheap inf 1 and 2 and that's why they aren't really emg's. You see they got 3 different versions of this guitar.

buy an ibanez rgr 320 ex, i got one, it's fuckin awesome! and other than the rgr321 ex and the rga 32 (which are also awesome guitars) it has an edge III tremolo, which works perfectly and virtually stays in tune for ever ;-)

those aren't designed by emg, the ibanez rgr321ex did have emg designed pickups in it for a limited time only. INF1 and 2 pickups are the active passive design of the infinity series pickups by ibanez

but this guitar is good, nice to sweep on

Yes...these are the emg designed pickups. They are still named Inf1 and inf2 but that's because they're still ibanez pickups but only DESIGNED by emg. But yes the guitar is great!
