  • timeless tune, this song will still be great 50 years from now

  • 22 poor deaf people are busy downloading LMFAO and Bieber as we watch this.

  • "singles" turned me on to this in the 90's. Loved it then .. Love it now..

  • I've just disliked this video just for u.This is a great song and Chris is great vocalist. I love TOTD, Soundgarden, Audioslave, but I remember time, when cool guys who listened to cool rock music didn't care for stupid shit like: votes for yes or no in youtube

  • @Kapiszczur exactly!

  • I see 21 of Chris's exes have been here...

  • I love him his voice is so powerful

  • love him, but he got a hangover on this one...

  • @gefolo or a 5am radio show?

  • What a beautiful voice...

  • here it is...Vederr. Cornell, Staley....raise your kids on that, like we were raised on Doors, Zep & Who...& they'll understand where ur comin from...(also, don't beat em)

  • @edvedd19 agreed teach them that you love them how to love and show them that theres still good music out there they just have to know where to look and show them where to look

  • unreal...the way he re-captures "Seasons" (1 of his best Vocals ever) is simply amazing....i saw the movie SINGLES in '94 at age 20...i never thought Zeppelin could be out-done (probly still don't), but Cornell, (to me) is 1 of THE BEST rock singers ever...music/lyrics/emotion/intensity=A+....SUNSHOWER is my favoritr, followed by this, Temple Of The Dog, Unplgged in Sweden, Soundgarden...& a few Audioslve..

  • A big thank you to whoever filmed this performance and also to the person who uploaded it here for us to enjoy. Good stuff!

  • @snowleopard1937 accidentally thumbs downed you had a stupid cat in my lap trying to jump down lol...but i agree 110%+

  • never fails, he (chris cornell) blows our mind everytime... ;)>

  • A Fucking haunted Song , gives me chills !!

  • excellent olskool song!who cares this song cant go wrong especially on a rainy day in philly. i remember the days before all these bands got big they would play places like the Trocadero in chinatown.hope they didnt forget what venues got them where there at.Grung is a memory like they say Punk is dead. but whatever!

  • whats not to love about this artiss,,,, smooth silky voice,,, many a lady i have romance to this song

    \

  • This song shows his genius accompanied by an epic song.Love this guy.

  • he orignally did this song with just him and a guitar, no one else

  • The naked floor is COLD AS HELL! Fuck yes! Remember when music was awesome!

  • this song gets better with age

  • @MrDeano0405 are you crazy! Eddie Vedder is a freaking genius along w a VERY VERY talented man .. vocally :) you should listen to him more often

  • Nice performance! Gotta love Chris Cornell.

  • Just a great song..."If I should be short on words, long on things to say..." genius.

    Cool to see this version.

  • Amazing!! Does anyone know where to find the same studio play of sunshower? That one I saw a while back, but haven't found it since..

  • hypnotizing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! where can you get the complete set/videos, bought the singles cd back in the day (cassette) still one fav.

  • I first heard this song while driving down Pacific Coast Highway here in California. The waves, ocean breeze and smell of the water along with the music was intoxicating. Chris Cornell is AWESOME. Such a great song!

  • I don't like the drums. Great take though...was pleasantly surprised considering his age and how much I love this song.

  • 20 dislikes? you mother fuckers... fuckin' deaf people.

  • @chabomorphosis well you cnnot really pls everybody

  • amazing as always

  • Hmmm lovely!

  • mean

  • Holy shitballs that was awesome!!

  • If you disliked this may the fleas of 1000 camel inhabit your armpits for all time.

  • I can't wait to see Chris perform this live tomorrow night at The Fillmore in SF!!

  • Cornell at his sublime best

  • Whos the weird chinese guys just chilling behind chris?

  • @rune2222

Watch what you say. That weird chinese guy it TiTo, Chris's bodyguard (personal trainer & nutritionist), and he's killed over a hundred men, three women and a pit bull with his bare hands. In the video, he's simply looking around, waiting for someone to "make a move". And that's right, his name IS spelled with two upper case Ts.

  • I'll be at the Fillmore watching him on May 3

  • I'm sorry...the bass & drums ruined this. It shoulda been Chris and 2 accoustic guitars.

fucking hell how I miss the 90s. I what I wouldn't give to go back and relive it the way I should have. Started college in 91, turned 21 in 94, music was open & more free and enlightening than anything today can even approach. It was fresh & provoking & it meant the world. Music these days & youth culture as a whole is shit compared to when I came of age in the 90s.

I fucked up not making the most of it

  • soulful .....soothing.....intoxicating i like it

  • This is pure gold, goose bumps once again even after 21 years. Like a bottle of wine this vintage is classic!

  • Fell in love with this song the minute I heard it on the soundtrack... All these years later, it's STILL one of my favorite songs: "If I should be short on words, but long on things to say. Would you crawl into my world, and takes these words away?" Man, that's just GOOD.

  • so powerful with emotion chris! =)

  • @hyrehyre and @knarfmik: it doesn't matter where you get your music joy...one can derive great aural pleasure from being diverse, and enjoying everything from screamo to Chris Cornell to Annie Lennox to pop to Appalachian bluegrass to hip hop to Led Zep to opera, there are synergies between all different styles...

  • What's high quality? Diamond, Tesla, Jaguar, Lamborghini, private jet, Masseratti... just a few people have them.. the "elite" people... compared to millions of people driving a 1998 sedan...

Well, seeing barely over 300K views on this video, compared to millions of Lady Gaga's videos... I feel like the "elite" and fortunate few who DO know what good music is about.

  • Hopefully he'll play this on his acoustic tour

  • @asian8beauty I tried to buy tickets for the one in Houston... :'( sold out immediately.

  • i watched singles and needed the cd and its freaking awesome..this def became my favorite but theres some real good ones on there..and the movie is great too.

  • Me too, from Manchester England and was really into this scene along with a lot of my old mates - top song. I'm also 36 and feel the same about American Idol - I also found out recently that my old rock club 'jillys' on Oxford Rd is now a Tesco grocery store... this is progress.

  • His voice is not nearly as good as it was back in the day, he can't seem to go quite as high.

  • @misterbelfridge344 His voice is pretty damn close considering that this song was recorded in late 1990-early 1991. as a matter of fact his voice continues to improve to this day. He is the best rock n roll singer over the last 20 years and still going.

  • @farrell57 I agree he is the best rock singer over the last 20 years, just saying his range is not was it was, that is just the reality of getting older not an insult.

  • @misterbelfridge344 Dude, listen to Beyond the Wheel from the Nude Dragons show. If anything he sings better now.

  • @misterbelfridge344 Look up Soundgarden Black Rain Conan.

He can go just as high as he always could.

  • @campoobutt yup...Black Rain awesome...CC never has or will lose it...may have mellowd, but the emotion shines through

  • IM FROM THE 360 SEATTLLLEEE all day =]

  • He sounds and looks absolutely perfect in this video... <3<3<3

  • one of my favourite songs

  • Let me tell you how wierd it is to listen to your friends music for the last 30 plus years.

    Seattle <3

  • YES!

  • grande chris le mejor voz del rock

  • I got chills

  • 19 people are still really pist about Chris Cornell making the song "A part of me" ft timbaland. hahahaha

  • Comment removed

  • @bestofthebox how could i forget that one lol .. definitely = ) sour girl is one of my fav songs

  • throw reference to sing school by author who is a chris kornell!

  • There are 3 voices that together would probably kill all man kind .. Chris Cornell, Layne Staley, & Eddie Vedder .. JUST FUCKING AMAZING!

  • @Nirvana19941 you forgot scott weiland

  • @bestofthebox

    No he is a poser

  • @maicurl123 no chance

  • @Nirvana19941 He's done songs with both of them.

  • @mlynn1231 I know he did hungerstrike .. but from what i know Layne is not included -_- .. i want all those 3 voices on one magical track <3

  • @Nirvana19941 Look up "right turn" from alice in chains. it features Chris, Jerry Cantrell, And Layne, and another guy.

  • @omegalen ...the other guy is MARK ARM (MUDHONEY)...give em a listen, thank me later

  • @Nirvana19941 keyword search Right Turn Alice Mudgarden

  • @Nirvana19941 Agree completely but Cantrell was a huge part of the AIC sound. :) Obviously Cornell has done some awesome solo stuff, this and Sunshower are my favorites.

  • @Nirvana19941 ive been saying the same thing forever. they are the three best singers ever

  • What about Buckley?

  • @guitarman1985 sorry dude but those three are in a class of their own

  • @Nirvana19941 Yee-heh, ahn-hahn.

  • @Nirvana19941 Add Mark Lanegan to that list.

  • @JefenomenoRules ...Mark Lanegan (Screaming Trees) on "Long Gone Day" with Layne on MAD SEASON..."am I the only one who remembers that Summerrrrrrrr (jaw-grind) ?"

  • @Nirvana19941 I agree about Layne and Chris but I dont think Eddie Vedder was anywhere near as good of vocalist as those other 2 guys.

  • @Nirvana19941 throw natalie merchant and stevie nicks in there for a female perspective!!!

  • @Nirvana19941 don't forget mike patton and robert plant

  • Killer!

  • Incredible Song and Great arrangement here live. Cornell is still god!

  • Love it!

  • Very Stinky!

  • You know, whenever i'm on Youtube i always come back to these 2 vids (Hungerstrike too)

Theres something about these versions thats amazing, thanks Wid3Awak3!

Can't get enough of it at full blast..

  • he's got that american arizona desert flavour :D

  • BEAUTIFUL!!!

  • whoever those other people in the room are they look completely bored. If I was there I'd be freaking out haha

  • Summer nights and long warm days Are stolen as the old moon falls And the mirror shows another face Another place to hide it all Another place to hide it all And I'm lost, behind The words I'll never find And I'm left behind As seasons roll on by Sleeping with a full moon blanket Sand and feathers for my head Dreams have never been the answer And dreams have never made my bed Dreams have never made my bed And I'm lost, behind The words I'll never find And I'm left behind As seasons roll on by
  • Well I wanna fly above the storm But you can't grow feathers in the rain And the naked floor is cold as hell This naked floor reminds me Oh the naked floor reminds me That I'm lost, behind Words I'll never find And I'm left behind The seasons roll on by If I should be short on words And long on things to say Would you crawl into my world And take me worlds away Should I be beside myself And not even stay And I'm lost, behind Words I'll never find And I'm left behind As seasons roll on by
  • "Well, I wanna fly above the storm, but you can't grow feathers in the rain."

AWESOME line! I LOVE Chris! :)

  • Just a great song

    I love it

  • Epic Cornell piece I also heard it on singles and fell in love with it instantly ... truly one of my favorite songs of all time ... and I'd have to agree that Cornell is one of the most amazing vocalist of all time.

  • beeeeeeeeeeehind!

  • I'm hearing you. He has still got the voice. Did you catch him in the movie obvioiusly then

  • really i dont think so the voice from chri cornell is the best for that period .that is the best voice from ever for ever.

  • holy shit

  • Lol is live version is better then is recorded EP single imo XD

  • there is not now, has never been, and never will be another like chris cornell. he is not only once in a lifetime but once in an eternity.

  • and I'm lost

    behind

    the words I'll never find

  • oh soo good

  • @hyrehyre1: I know exactly what you mean. I try to avoid "American Idol" or as it is called in Germany "Deutschland sucht den Superstar" ... the music nowadays seems so meaningless and tastes like FastFood. It's not satisfying at all.

  • @Fidkes Good analogy, however this season, the top 3 I believe have more potential than any previous contestant to make actually decent music

  • Pure love

  • great performance.gives me chills!!!!

  • Cornell is the shit, boiiiiiiiii!

  • chris you're still the man but your music was better when you were an alcoholic. you can still sing like a mufucka but it seems like the FEELING is gone now. probably why audioslave never really came together musically

  • Nailed it.

  • This is a song I'll never get sick of.

  • Timeless... both Chris Cornell and the song 'Seasons'. Why wasn't this a #1 song??

  • raw, melodic acoustic jam with the always soothing vocals of CC. Is it me or why can't I find jams like this anymore available anymore?

  • great somg

  • listening to CC again after a decade more or less now....and fuck im just as amazed as the first listening!!!!

    LONG ROCK CORNELL!!!

  • He still sounds amazing!!

  • Love it~!!!

  • best video on youtubzzzzz

  • I don't know about the rest of you but I heard this 1st on the "Singles" soundtrack in 92. I bought the CD for the "Would" track from AIC but this turned out to be my favorite. I think it's funny know that I am 37. I am fast forwarding through "American Idol" shows trying to win bets with the wife who will make it while thinking the whole time "I hate myself for even FF through this,,they all lick balls compared to Chris Cornell for dudes and Annie Lennox for women"...WTF happened to me? LAME

  • I also bought "Singles" in '92 and love this song. Now I'm 36 and a little lame too. But, I don't watch "American Idol.

  • @knarfmik32 Hehe

  • @knarfmik32

This was the greatest soundtrack at the time ...AIC, JIMI HENDRIX, THIS SONG , ANN AND NANCY WILSON .........It kicked some ass , wait it still does

  • @knarfmik32 Nothing wrong with 36 ... we witnessed what I think is the best five years in the history of the American music scene. The transition from hair bands to the Seattle scene was amazing.

  • @DanRooster Problem is that nothing came after the Seattle scene. Like it was the final ride for rock music.......

  • @hyrehyre1 That's funny, I watch american Idol and always try to picture wich one of them could pull of a song like this or Reach Down

  • @hyrehyre1 It's not you that's changed. It's everything else. You're making do with what you're given.

  • @hyrehyre1 I'm 37 also but in ten years I promise all of the music we loved will play it's way through our lives again. Get ready for an amazing event...

  • @hyrehyre1 A-fucking men brother. Had Singles because I loved Would. Still do. AMERICAN IDOL sucks donkey dick.

  • @hyrehyre1 I heard this on the Singles soundtrack too... Fell in love with the whole album. I was 13 when I bought it in 97. I'm 11 years younger than you, but fell exactly the same!! Started me on my journey into great music, and appreciation of all these groups, who intertwine with each other! LOVE IT!

  • @hyrehyre1 You're getting old like me dude, remember the movie well, love this song, listened and loved all AIC songs, where did the time go? they don't make bands like Soundgarden or AIC anymore.

  • @hyrehyre1 frwd to the 90's please...

  • @hyrehyre1 - dude. you and i need to go drink a beer and bemoan the passage of time. I remember picking up the singles soundtrack prior to the release of the movie, specifically for the AIC and pearl jam tunes. Seasons stands as my favorite track on that album to this day. Listened to that disc again and again. What happened to me? indeed.

  • @hyrehyre1 lolol we all get old sumtime haha jk bro(:

  • @hyrehyre1 life

  • @hyrehyre1 It's good you can admit to this ;)

    Tune :D

  • @hyrehyre1 Wow...you took the words right out of my mouth!! You forgot to mention that Chris the sexiest man alive but otherwise word for word:)

  • @hyrehyre1 You just told my story, man. I heard this first on the Singles soundtrack - which I bought for Pearl Jam's 'Breathe'. It quickly became my favorite. I miss good music...

  • @hyrehyre1 Think you might just be getting old, lad :)

  • WHo are the slant eyes standing behind him

  • Racist

  • have respect. SLANT EYES??? chinamen is more P/C... Its the Asian Twin Towers. AT&T Studios.

  • como se llama la cancion??

  • Best male singer ever. He can do it all.
