As an art lover, I did not see art in Paki movie except "Jazbatipan".+ If Rekha appreciated Paki movi then its her Brapan. Rani was my favrt but her talent wasted by Paki dirtros. A fabuolous performance by a great artist. The scene after this song where Umrao goes back to Khanum's kotha and tells her about her experience of seeing her child and how Khanum treats her daughters. I have never seen any performance by any artist what Rani did in that scene. If you haven't seen it, watch and appreciate what I say here.

the only song in the movie by noor jahan which is testament to the fact that no one but her could sing the climax of the movie as this expresses the soul of the movie and her crescendo at the finale is unmatched in music where she sings non-stop for a while -she is un matched in those great lyrics by saif and this becomes the heart and soul of the movie itself -where an artist reaches a pinnacle beyond which no one else can surpass -it isa challenge to other singers like a gauntlet thrown

Well said yaar. Initially runa laila was suppose to sing this song but later on both hassan tariq and nisar bazmi insisted madam noor jehan to sing it. It was her song soon after she said the word "THAA" our neighbor tried to immitate but nothing like RANI. True depiction of the character.
