  • Jay's the best. Period.

  • If you need to know the definition of "White" - here it is. Funny that anyone would take this seriously with P-funk, Earth Wind Fire, and Isaac Hayes going on at the same time. The Osmonds were a triumph of marketing. They seem like nice people though.

  • This is the Jacksons competition from the 70.s . handsome, white, religious, shall I say racist they represented the America of that time. I love them but I must say they are the stereotype of the perfect white american family inclusive of the money affluence. Nevertheless, they r still fun to watch, they r good at their business (particularly) Donny. They didn't have to bother too much touring as the Jackson's I remember Michael & his brothers coming to Latin Americat I must say addictive.

  • I didn't know the power rangers could sing.....

  • This wasn't the Donny and Marie show....this was an Osmond Brothers Special........I remember it.

  • Why do people feel the need to put down The Osmonds and compare them to The Jacksons?

The Osmonds are all very talented know how to play so many different musical instruments, And they are still performing.

The Osmonds and The Jacksons are great performers no need to put anyone down.

  • Fabulous!!!!

  • look its Justin Beiber! HA HA!

  • that song from 2:27 is from the temptations lol

  • mormon psychedelia lol

  • Hysterical, seriously, seeing them trying to pop and lock like the dancers of the 70's. But this brought up a question for me, how come they never did anything with the Jackson 5. At the time, Michael was big but no where near where he would become and it would have been incredible to see the best white and black boy bands of their time perform together. Tho the Jackson could out sing, out dance and out perform them, it would have been a real rating blockbuster to see them perform together

  • if you ass holes havent noticed... this is the donny and marie show, FROM THE 1970'S!! and i think they are just wonderful!! I'm only 14 and i love them!! So shut up!!

  • I love this Osmonds, but this was never one of my favorite medley's

  • @yeast142 So why are you comparing them? People typically compare themselves or their choices to the best in an effort to actually be seen as better than the best. So, as an Osmond fan I would like to thank you for the compliment.

  • @jm3651 no these guys really dont hold shit to the jacksons wut your saying does not fit in this situation hey man if that be the case how come the jacksons have over a million hits and these guy have barely over over a 100 thousand

  • @yeast142 What are you smoking? For your information, (GO LOOK IT UP) the Osmonds have sold MILLIONS of records and had more GOLD records in 1971 than any other singer/entertainer/combination of people including Elvis and the Jackson Five and the Beatles! That is a fact! And they are still performing with their amazing harmony and dancing, even as grandparents! They out danced and out performed everybody during that time. Get your facts straight! They were/are good friends w/Jackson family

  • @jm3651I was irritated by a post cutting down The Osmonds simply because the person liked the Jacksons. I am confused as to why so many Jackson fans feel the need to come to the Osmond videos and make negative comments. I can see no reason other than the need to try to convince Osmond fans to switch to the Jackson camp. Why? Are we not allowed to have our own musical preferences? Do we all have to agree with the Jackson fans?

  • Any one of these guys could have made a capital living as a JFK impersonator.

Yeah, you know what I'm sayin'.

  • They had talent cant take that away from them

  • What song was this?

  • By their dance moves, this was probably at the height of disco

  • @tacomonster98 What the heck?! CRAZY!!

  • I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this one!!!!!!!!!

  • This is so goofy. Back in the 70s it was probably cool.

  • This wasn't from the Donny and Marie show...this was from the OSMOND show special..

  • <3

    x

  • the Osmonds are a wonderful family and amazing musicians

  • Yep...Music-making is their thing....They are so fabulous. I Love this video-thanks so much for posting! Agree-the dance moves are awesome, as are the smiles :)

  • I love Jay :D . This is my favorite osmond performance. I love their style of dancing, so sharp and full of energy, ahh and those smiles :D

  • marie was a little hottie back in the day!

  • I love The Osmonds so much! I'm 19 female and into a wide range of music but I'll always come back to The Osmonds when I seek some great entertainment and lovely wholesome people!

  • Woow! Incredible moves! And great voices!

  • Woow! Incredible moves!

  • Thanks for showing the Osmond Brothers performing on the Donny & Marie show!

  • It's the Wiggles!!!

  • On top of everything else... Jay (in the green) choreographed all of their performances!

  • sorry but i don't see the jacksons have such a talented next generation as the osmonds i vote osmonds i like their style better

  • Well i´ll be a son of a gun...

  • Awesome performance as usual boys.

  • what is the name of this song?

  • The thing is that the Jacksons nev er moved in harmony--Michael was better than anyof them. The Osmonds were always harmonized in singing AND dancing.

  • I'm black too but I love the Osmonds better than the Jacksons too.

  • Biggest teeth in the word!

  • AAAHHHHH!!!!! IT BURNS!!!!!!! TOOO MUCH 70s!!!!!

  • I love Jay

  • I love watching Donny in this video.

  • Sorry sexyrose98 i think the Osmonds are much better than the Jackson 5.

  • well sorry but that is how people danced before all these crazy shit now days!

  • SORRY Jackson 5 is better than the Osmonds they had more rhythm

  • A MI MAMA LE LATEEN JEJEE!!!!!

  • they enjoy what they do, and they make you enjoy it too!

  • Both the J5 and all of the Osmonds were and are really talented.

The 1960's and 70's were the Golden Age of music of this type. I love Boy Bands!

  • The interesting thing is that both groups (Osmonds & J5) had fans of all races and countries! Music is universal, no matter what!

  • @RainbowMoonHealing SO true.

  • Does anybody remember the battle they had in England back in 1972?, I was a kid by then, but the chronics are still available...they were in London, both groups, they were in the same hotel, in different wings, of course, but, do you know who got more people coming crazy about?, curious to know, despite all the criticism read in here, The Osmonds won the battle by far, though I love MJ music & dancing, as somebody wrote, Tha J's were soul, The O´s were pop, & pop is still on, & on, & on

  • The Mormons Osmond lost their study, they lost a lot of money and their living prophet didn't know SHIT about it.That's happened when you trust in LUCIFER

  • This family have celebrated 50 years in showbiz, what are the jacksons doing making money from michaels demise. As joe jackson quoted "He is worth more dead than alive" how sick is that. The Osmonds like all people, look how close they get to their fans, you don't see Janet being warm and friendly.

  • No wonder they went to HELL, they really SUCKED.

  • Why not just listen to all this great music the Brothers have given us and stop all the arguing and complaining! Both groups of brothers are very talented.

  • The Jackson 5 were better dancers and singers .

  • The Osmond gods, their religion teach them that they will be gods, just like SATAN wanted to be like GOD. Mormons are evil, a religion invented by a white boy who believed in LUCIFER as the real god. Joseph Smith. He was a mason and a Devil worshiper.

  • they are not flashing freemason signals which the popartists are doing today. The movie industry is full of satanic worship' Joseph Smith the prophet was actually of the serpent race and I agree that satanic worship is held deep in the bowels of the Mormon Temple in Utah. However the average member of the Mormon religion is unaware of this and are the smoke screen for the covert modus operandi of this sect. Same as Roman Catholicism-the truth is given to the rank of the Cardinal only.

  • Where did you get this wrong ideas?

I've worked as a licensed contractor in 8 Temples across the world. The building contracts are given to members and non members of the church alike. I have never come across a single part in this buildings that denotes or suggests any satanic worship!

Read the Bible and learn the importance God placed in the building of Temples to his name.

We will all have to face God and give Him an account of all our actions. I hope you are better informed by then. :P

  • DDUE, What Did You Just Say? Wow! (CREEPER!) THE OSMONDS ROCK!

  • i like this. very entertaining

  • Some of them look borderline Down Syndrome, Lordy!

  • I think you are right. Sorry about that screwed up information.

  • thanks for the acknowledgment. thumbs up.

  • True on the differences of their talent, but both the Osmonds and the Jacksons had a very controling father. Both parents were deeply religious. The Osmonds were Mormons. The Jacksons were Jevovah's Witness. All their problems were frightfully similar to one another, too. And neither of them were perfect as well.

  • Oh Lord, but the Osmonds' father was not abusive, just a disciplinarian. Most of us growing up in the 60's and 70's were spanked when we did something wrong, and we turned out allright. Joseph was abusive. BIG difference.

  • they stole the jackons spotlight on national tv white boys got the groove though and from utah! dam

  • The Osmond were only liked by white people.

The Jackson 5 were liked by all races.

They were universal and thats why they are still listend to today.

  • @BEATTY001

hmmm. i disagree. i think of it as the other way around, the jackson's having more talent. but donny was so hot back then. had a crush on him as a ten year old.

  • @BEATTY001 :)

  • @BEATTY001

I'm curious why you told us you're colored? :)

  • @FlyGirl321CF I haven't heard "colored" in 30 years. Yikes.

  • @debbiechickie5

I know, right?!!! Who uses the word "colored" to describe themselves or other African Americans in todays world?

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • I was at ALOT of concerts of the Osmonds, and though the majority of people were white, there were quite a few African Americans and other races there as well. the Osmonds are STILL being listened to today as well, much more son than the Jackson 5. Get over it.

  • Exactly and I don't why those 2 suckers put dumbs down on you...And they don't sound good...they sound sorta DUMB! nO OFFENSE IM JUST 11

  • Haha!

  • Because a prophet only warns about things pertaining to a spiritual nature for the people. Money/business matters are temporal in nature, and pretty insignificant in the eternal scheme of things. anything temporal, God will help you get through it if you are tyring to be spiritual. besides which, you are wrong. KSL is still on.

  • @piontro They did the show outside of Hollywood and did not kowtow the satanic wishes of the music industry. The powers that be had an evil underhand in closing the show in regards to sponsors. No one can be of the Good in this day and age one must become a satanist to be successful in the entertainment industry. U tube 'Satanism in the Music Industry' and see for yourself.

  • Are they GAYS?

  • no, but you are.

  • I WAS SERIOUSLY ABOUT TO SAY THE SAME THING, HA HA "No, But, You Are!" HA HA!

  • well he is!!! why do people insist that they look gay? they don't!

  • Yeah, I'm Aggrreeing Withe You! Ha Ha! He Is!

  • lol ok! :D

  • No, You Are Man!

  • Actually, Donny Osmond and Michael Jackson did dance better than their siblings did. Sure, Donny was no MJ, but he did pave way for the 80s white boy dance, especially if you see Anthony Michael Hall's dance in Sixteen Candles. That's how Donny use to dance in these shows. Donny even mentioned about his friend, Michael, were suppose to do a duet, but when the second trial allegations started in 2003, MJ decided to cancel it all due to how bad the trial started out, so it never happened.

  • Gotta say Merrill was the better dancer in the Osmonds. Both families had their loyal fans but I never understand why there has to be a comparison between them. They are who they are. I am a HUGE Osmond fan but I like MJ very much as well. I appreciate the different music and entertainment they each brought us. Their own styles, Why does one have to be better than the other? Osmonds wanted to rock, Jacksons were soul. You just can't compare that. They were both good doing what they did.

  • yeah, but one dance routine I thought was really good was the YoYO number on the Flip Wilson show. You should check it out. They were so in sych and it was really a pretty complicated dance. Of course, they could have never done it if not for the lip synching, but that was normal in the 70's.

  • Both groups were very talented. some do not know the endless practice, coreogrphy going into these performances, and to remember the lyrics, flollowing the orchestra or band, great effort guys !!!!! OH sorry Marie, i'm sure you are proud, and you should be !!

  • theyre good....but they dont have the soul that the jacksons did

  • tue, but they weren't soul, they were pop.

  • are these the same boys that sang side by side

  • if you all don't start giving the jackson 5 the respect they need i will have wmg take this video off along with the other osmond's videos just because you like the osmonds don't show disrespect to the jackson 5 because they was a good act too matter fact they were better there i said it but you can't get mad at people statements because thats their statement people like you osmonds fans you have to understand everybody is not going to like the osmonds

  • Well said, I liked both groups. I don't like it when others dis the Osmonds in trying to build up the J5. There's no reason for it.

  • what a great bunch of talanted young handsome young men.swoon

  • Just to remind everyone that black people were barred from the Mormon priesthood until 1978.

  • why in the world would you bring that up? they are talking about talent, not praactices that have been rectified.

  • Because this is a lame rip-off of a vastly superior black vocal group (The Temptations). Black people were good enough for the Osmonds to copy their music, not good enough to take positions of responsibility in their religion, it would seem.

  • And the jackson 5 ripped off the temptations and so on. one had nothing to do with the other. everyone in the church back in the 70s were concerned about the position the church had against blacks holding the priesthood. how do you know what the osmonds did or thought? what a lame attempt to discredit a talented family.

  • The Osmonds are and always will be better than the Jackson 5.

  • Well, you're entitled to your opinion, just as I'm entitled to mine.

  • osmonds version of disco lol

  • love the osmond when they were young

  • TY for posting. I remember watching this on the D&M show. Those guys can sure dance and sing. I just wish that Jimmy was part of the group at that time.

  • I LOVE this. Brings back SO many memories! They use to do this medley in concert...LOVED IT! LOVE it NOW. Scary cause I remember the choreography!

  • wait... which one is which! i cant tell which is alan, wayne, merrill, jay, and donny!

  • lol, i can tell by the colours their in, alan's in blue, wayne's in orange, merrill's in black, jay's in green and donny's in purple

  • those are some 'groovy' guys. ;D

  • but this song is addicting...what song is it?
