we cut some thumpers there and ukonom some long hikes all the tree hugging going on there made me wanna puke. a lot of the timber in marble mount wilderness was rotten .breaking in about five piece before it got horizontal

So, 2nd tree I get, it was on fire in the heart, but 1st tree, was it really necessary to cut it down? Seems like cutting smaller trees around it would prevent a crown fire and allow that big tree to live.

im a firefighter in the eastern part of the U.S. we dont have much fires here but we get them every now and then. but that would be cool to cut trees in a forest fire
