  • happy days x

  • Is there anywhere online where you can watch/download matches from these days? I'd love to see more of Beattie, Brazil etc.

  • mattdellar im a norwich fan , i never thought id agree with an ipswich fan but well said lol

  • Never will forget that match! 13 years old and had become a fan in May of 1978 when Ipswich beat Arsenal 1-0 in the F.A.Cup final in front of 100,000 people at Wembley. This incredible win was the "forerunner" of the amazing 80-81 season when Ipswich came so close to winning the treble. Great memories!

  • one of those rare games when Ipswich actually scored more than one goal!!

  • still the best team to never win the title.

  • Fifteen years later United beat you 9-0 !

  • gary bailey saved 3 pens lol - dad would be pround :D..i think..

  • ipswich? man utd? you're ALL cunts!

  • @cheltcanary sounds like someone whos team have NEVER won the top flight......ps delia sucks my balls

  • Gr8 game tractor boys

  • Ipswich's 1978-81 shirt was very similar to France's 1978 World Cup shirt. Also, their 1984-86 shirt was almost identical to France's 1984 European Championship shirt. All of these shirts were made by Adidas and were super cool, I feel. Does anyone know of a relationship between Ispwich and France during this time? Who owned the club back then?

  • @GordonMorrice

The Cobbolds probably drank a lot of frnch plonk?

  • @weavehole Nah, those boys loved a Double Diamond!

  • As a wee 10 year old boy growing up in Glasgow, Ipswich had it all. Alan Brazil, John Wark and Jazzy three stripe Adidas numbers on their backs. I didn't realise then that they were The Tractor Boys and not fashionable like Dalglish's Liverpool. Fan ever since and it's a long way to go through the years both for the club and a 900 mile round trip 7 or 8 times a season. The mediocre megabuck managers of 2009 could learn so much from Sir Bobby's humility...

  • @finhq018 Glasgow is awesome!!!!
