GAAAH I love that sweep at 0:04 and 1:06, it's so terrifyingly awesome. It's like that feeling when you open the shower curtain and there's a huge-ass spider just chillin there, and it takes you a moment to react and jump at it, and in those few moments deathly cold chills run up your spine as they slam into your mind.

I gotta admit that this music seems to fit the Spider Queen out of all other bosses. When I hear the pick being dragged across the strings, I can only think of her spindly legs walking along her web. *shiver* Magnificent music nonetheless.

I thought it fit her incredibly well, too but for a different reason. See, I constantly knew her as the Geisha Spider, so the shamisen or koto strings really seemed to suit her (because geisha have to be proficient in one or both instruments). Somehow, it made her all the more sinister.
