  • ...continued... Was a valid move of the Holy Spirit is an utter delusion contrary to what all Church Clergy stated who visited Wiliam Seymours' meetings.' It looked utter chaos and was correctly judged by the church leadership ofthe day as being so. A little consistancy with Mr. Stromm would no go amiss. Make no mistake Toronto is a mess as is the charismatic church but to be honest so is all pentecostal sects/ Spirit filled ( so called ) assemblies.

  • While i agree that Mr Srrom is correct regarding Toronto, Brownsville, Lakeland etc., I have to querstion on what authority he makes such judgements when he also has suggested that the Holy Spirit makes men look 'drunk in the spirit, speak with tongues that are not languages and attempt to foretell the future via prophesy. You cannot have it both ways either these practices are wrong and one should reject them or they are valid and he has no place to judge. To suggest Azuza St. was a valid ctd.

  • @Enochsawit the HS moves in signs&wonders, prophesy, miracles, speaking in other tongues both personally and for the edification of the body. Andrew is speaking about the false manifestations that are going on. these false prophets&teachers operating in a familiar/deceiving spirit copies the gifts of HS to bring deception to church, in exaggeration& mixture. The teachings&manifestations resemble the Holy Spirit's work that is why many are being deceived. Matthew warns us about this

  • @fireitupministries....that's probably because evil spirits hide and unless the Holy Spirit showed it to him, he wouldn't know unless you openly manifiested yourself in front of him. So, by your own acknowledgement, you were hiding. Perhaps the Holy Spirit did not want to disrupt the service and focus the attention on you instead of the Lord Jesus.

  • I sat right behind Andrew with my entire team of "Kundalini" and he didnt discern our "evil spirits". But he sure is a miserable guy. He needs some Jesus joy!

  • very dull meeting , needs some joy in this ministry,

  • I understand that people can get freaked out from people speaking in toungues or falling on the ground, laughing or shaking, but just because that happens, doesn't mean it's not from God. That's my whole point. Just because it's weird, doesn't mean God doesn't make it happen. I think Christians need to use wisdom when this stuff happens, because it will make non believers, or even new believers freak out, I agree. I would never invite a person fitting this discription to a church like that.

  • Where in the bible does it say, "the way you will know something is of God will be if it is found in scripture"???

The bible never says that false signs will be signs that are not listed in the bible and for years, Christians have used this method of judging.. The only method of judging Jesus ever said to use was the method of looking at the fruit. Does the sign cause a person to get closer to Jesus in any way.

Andrew Strom is making money off of speaking engagments and books about this.

  • @MissedTheMark

"Does the sign cause a person to get closer to Jesus in any way."

some signs of the "holy spirit" makes most normal ppl think christianity is creepy and crazy and will probably turn away from God and Jesus more..i know this from personal experience. i took a friend to a church which was charismatic (and i was also new to that church too)...she was scared and so was I...its hard to find churches for young ppl that are not charismatic and creepy these days...

  • @koala8 You're kidding right?? We believe in a super natural God!! What's weird is that people believe in this stuff, but at the same time think that the supernatural shouldn't happen, or if it does, that it's supposed to be comfortable to our minds. You've read the bible, right?? God talked through a donkey, turned water into blood, parted the sea, raised the dead, cast out demons, took a man into heaven in a chariot of fire, angelic encounters, etc. If you want weird, read revelation, Ezekiel

  • @MissedTheMark

i dont really focus on this stuff though...if God wants a miracle or supernatural event to happen, he will make it happen...but if not, it wont really happen...i dont really think its that important. so it can happen. but wat i was saying is that sometimes some churches do insane things and they say its from the "holy spirit" & it makes non christians turn away even more imo cuz they think those ppl are crazy...im only saying this cause Ive seen it happen personally

  • Luke 8:35 should be sufficient. "When [the crowd] came to Yeshua, they found the man freed of demons sat at the feet of Yeshua's feet, dressed and in his RIGHT MIND..."

He was not mewing like a sheep or drunken... guess Yeshua did things differently than those preachers do.

Andrew Stromis right on.... He is a good and decent man to speak up about this evil that is consuming the souls of our youth.

  • So let us ask ourselves, how come angel dust, feathers, gems, holy laughter, slaying in spirit, etc is not manifested in my church that does not preach the false prosperity gospel yet, we have seen biblical signs not against the principle of God's Word manifesting at my church. In fact, if lying signs are from God why is it not found in every spirit-filled church but only in those churches who visit false revivals & get infected by demons that pass it to others who dont test the spirit?

  • God does move in my church with healings, signs & wonders, we have many who see visions, dreams, have all the gifts operating. However, none of the unbiblical signs as previously mentioned are seen. A maid, saw Jesus enter my church, during prayer meeting to reveal her sin. He took something like a black stone out of her and then touched her. Then she went to heaven & saw angels praising God & saw the fire of God from His throne decending on believers. She saw the glory of God coming down. PTL

  • If we choose HIS CHARACTER when revealed through the Words of the Lord made ALIVE by His Spirit we will THEN walk in the CHARACTER (Name) of CHRIST! If we don't FORSAKE ALL, we WON'T SEE POWER!

We're SAVED by GRACE (God opening our eyes) thru "FAITH" (God's IMPOSSIBLE Good Works that we CAN'T walk withOUT HIM!)

People settle 4 human righteousness which is flithy rags. Thus Paul finished, SAVED BY GRACE THRU FAITH....NOT by WORKS (human charities)!

Give up your life, WE WILL SEE POWER!

  • there is NO WAVE or @ least this is a discription that falls short! It is people within EACH GENERATION SINCE the APOSTLES WHO HEAR FROM THE SPIRIT OF GOD & FORSAKE ALL, GIVE UP THEIR LIVES FOR CHRIST ALONE even in the face of scorn & mockery. GOD's FAITH like Noah, Abraham, Joseph, Elijah, John the Baptist, Jesus, the Disciples/Apostles & the early church. Fake faith is man made faith/good works/just obeying the rules, sweet words with NO POWER or FRUITS of RIGHTEOUSNESS in the CHARACTER!!

  • Hmm...what a great way of explaining why God doesn't move in your church like, He moves in the Bible.

  • @7billfish Ok. Why isn't He moving in the church?

  • My church is one of the few churches that was against the prosperity gospel from the start. We are pentecostal and don't have false signs such as gold dust, gems, angel feathers, slain in spirit, holy laughter, animal behaviours etc The Lord showed me a revelation that the Lakeland revival was a false revival before I knew anything about the preaher who started it. God gives true discernment to His children who have the true Holy Spirit and are walking in obedience to His Word. Great teaching!

  • @karenep1 2 Timothy 3:1-5 says ir right, 1 "But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!"
