Wow I miss this game so much i was only 6 or 7 years old when i had it on my ps2 but sadly my ps2 broke before i ever finished it, I remember making it to a strike mission where i had to use the A10 to destroy some sort of solar panels and radar dishes.

i notice that every first mission of ace combat you have to shoot down enemy bombers, i think namco putting them in as a target practice or something

when mission in ace combat is close to end, they always put flying through tunnel mission.

error, the F-4E is NOT a carrier jet, rather a land based airforce cuz the navy Phantoms didnt have the nose gun. and the E is an airforce variant, the navy and marines either had an F-4B N or J on their carriers,

It's arguable that the Mobius squadron has only 1 member still alive or he and Sky Eye are the only ones that consist of siad squadron, but by the Megalith squadron that squadron has been reformed and or re-created.

@filipinowhiteboy I was just thinking the same thing. One of the main complaints I have about AC5 is that there is WAY TOO MUCH DIALOGUE. The incidental dialogue of AC4 gave it a more simulator-like feel, where the characters were just talking about the mission. Now we have characters that treat the radio like it's Facebook or something.

hehe You know what the irony is, the latest incarnation of this series has probably the most realistic combat voice acting yet. But in making so realistic, it has become extremely bland. But I gotta be honest, I actually really liked Assault Horizon. The game play additions were nice. The only problem I had with that game was the story. It's horrible. One of the worst in the series. They hire Jim Defilice, new york times bestselling author to write the script and this is the best he could make?

But i played 5 and ZERO, i love them.

i like the story behind and the difficulty too.

When I got my first PS2 ever, which was when I was like 7, this was the first game I bought for it, brings back memories watching this, it was so awesome, probably the best Ace Combat game in the entire series, the other games make everything so dramatic, hopefully we'll get to see Mobius 1 back in action soon

agreed but I didn't really like the missions structure in AC5 all that much..there were only a few memorable missions (like the one where you have to evade the radar blips and the final mission)

I beat that stonehenge mission with the F-4e! On Ace Mode!

Stonehenge is pretty easy. It's so incredibly vulnerable to bombs. Just fly in one giant circle, first taking out sams, then AA, then go in for the base of each turret, leave one alive so you can finish off the other aircraft, then finish off stonehenge.

@Raijin1999 What I used to do was take out the SAMs first with LASMs, then the AA guns, the aircraft, THEN go for the guns. I'd leave one alive and return to base and fill up with XMARs. Then I'd take out the gun and have the XMARs to use when the Yellow Squadron comes. But I don't play Ace Combat 04 anymore. I've gotten all aircraft except the X-02, and now I play Ace Combat 5 and Zero
