Their policy on this matter isn't particularly clear but it seems that they don't want any hassle with regard to things like this so they removed my video despite my protest. At the end of the day they are allowed to do that so I have to abide by it.

Using your Google search it states that small crews using portable equipment, do not need to apply for permission. You are wrong. A single person filming does not require permission from the council.

I know this as I am a keen photographer and have specifically found out the legislation covering filming in public. It's legal.

I would like to point out: you do not need to blur out the number plate or remove the details: it is not a breech of privacy as he was in a public place when this occurred plus when he did it he and the vehicle were visable to all. No offence is being committed and he actually has no right to complain

@WhitakerSJA The number plate blurring this isn't a legal requirement, however YouTube are entitled to set whatever policy they like and because they're an international website they need to comply with the laws of every country, not just the UK. Their policy on this matter isn't particularly clear but it seems that they don't want any hassle with regard to things like this so they removed my video despite my protest. At the end of the day they are allowed to do that so I have to abide by it.
