@TimothyLeDancer Around about the mid-nineties, I think, although some boys were wearing trousers before that. Riverdance brought black trousers into fashion and pushed the kilts out -- which quite a few boys were pretty pleased about!

Her footwork looks great to me. It's hard to see turnout because she is wearing black tights and floor is dark as well. The dancing is the way Irish dance is really supposed to look like.
